LEGO and Tinker Toys living together in peace and harmony to help build a better toy playing experience of the future!? Say it isn’t so!
But it is…
The Free Art and Technology Lab and Sy-Lab groups have created a Universal Construction Kit that allows users to connect LEGO to their Tinker Toys and Zoob, and K’Nex, and Lincoln Logs, and… well you get the point.
The best part about this project is you can download these parts for free from the website, and if you have a desktop 3D printer, you can “print” the adapters and go to town in the toy room.
It’s a pretty cool idea and kudos to the groups for putting this all together. Will it ever be developed into a commercial product? Probably not, but a Creative Commons release is the next best thing.
