Mark your calendar and start saving your pennies because Mattel has just announced the big Legion of Super-heroes 12-pack goes on sale October 17, 2011.  The MattyCollector.com servers will feel the strain of millions logging on at 9:00 AM PDT to get their hands on one of the biggest collections of action figures the company has sold at one time.

Also be on the lookout for the DC Universe Classics Wave 17, that features Wonder Woman, The Atom, Scarecrow, Lex Luthor, Hal Jordan AND Hal Jordan, along with the Flash in their Blackest Night lantern costumes.

Out of all the Legion, it’s disappointing they only include one female out of 12.

Matter-Eater Lad and Proty but not Shadow Lass, Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet, etc.?

No Shadow Lass/Cosmic Boy combo, no Dream Girl/Brainiac 5, no Shrinking Violet? I’m out…

Be honest. We were never in. The odds of getting this set for less than 300 dollars are pretty much infinitesimal. And when were Shadow Lass and Cosmic Boy a “combo?”

          He probably meant Night Girl

The one I’m surprised by is Matter-Eater Lad. They should have swapped him out for Dawnstar.

Dawnstar’s wings would probably have been really difficult to reproduce. And Matter-Eater Lad has his fans… I want these figures partly BECAUSE he’s included.

They aleady made Hawkgirl…cant imagine the wings would be an issue an issue

When are we going to see some full-fledged Legion statues, like every other superhero has had? Some nice full statues.
