Is Brad Pitt being considered for Thor? Is Guy Ritchie set to direct Sgt. Rock?
The rumor mill is a grinding this Monday, and signs point to yes.

With a Crisis in the DC Universe there inevitably comes a return to Rann and Thanagar. Thus, for all of us who enjoy a bit of the good old science fiction, all of our space heroes come together to deal with some cosmic threat that somehow always ends up focusing on Rann and/or Thanagar.
So the first entry in DC’s Final Crisis turns out to be the Rann-Thanagar Holy War, and it looks as if Jim Starlin, writer of this series, has a definite issue with religion.
It’s not the best copy, but it is a pretty cool theatrical trailer for television viewers.
It’s still going to be the best movie of the summer.
Or - “The Fair Witch Project.”
The Legion of Super-Heroes covers a lot of different takes on heroism, but the one thing that they all seem to share is the affinity for science. From the “ultra-energy” that imbues Jo Nah, to Wildfire’s transformation to pure antimatter, to the accident that empowered Lighting Lass and her brother, the vagaries of science (or at least the strange comic book version thereof) have served as the origin of many Legionnaires. Indeed, with the bright and shiny future setting, that’s as it should be. So today’s Historical subject is an anomaly from the get-go, holding the honor of being one of the only Legionnaires to start out as a villain, as well as being the first full-fledged magician in Legion history. She stood down with the most powerful creatures in the galaxy, matched up in courage with the greatest heroes the Legion has to offer, and did it with style and grace. This, then, is your Major Spoilers Hero History of Mysa Nal of Naltor… The White Witch.

One of the most sought-after writers in comics today, Brian Azzarello is one of the six acclaimed scribes to pen a segment within “Batman Gotham Knight,” the third in the ongoing series of DC Universe animated original PG-13 movies.
Unlike many of his past works, Azzarello’s segment – entitled “Working Though Pain” – takes a decidedly non-violent direction. The segment, which falls chronologically as the fifth of the six segments, explores an early chapter of Bruce Wayne’s training as a mysterious and exotic Indian woman named Cassandra introduces Batman to techniques that would help him to conquer the physical and spiritual consequences of what he does.
Or - “It’s Always The Cute Ones…”

Megan Morse, also known as Miss Martian, has been something of an enigma among the Junior Justice League. Introduced during the “One Year Later” gap caused by 52, she has been pleasant, funny, bright and generally nice to be around. So, naturally, she’s a stone killer in disguise. Ever since it was revealed that she’s NOT one of J’onn J’onnz’ peaceful green Martians, but comes from the vicious line of white Martians, I’ve waited for her to grow fangs and try to eat people. After interacting with her own future self, and getting telepathically attitude adjusted, that day… has come!

For those of us who thought the Catwoman series was a goner with issue #81 (as stated in the May Previews issue), the agony of having the series canceled is going to be drawn out a little longer as DC announced issue #82 will be solicited in the June Previews.
DC stated this will be the final issue of the series and is expected to be in stores in August.

Green Lantern #30 was highly anticipated in the Hill household, as I would get to see part 2 of what I believe to be a 3 part origin story, and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful artwork, beautiful storytelling, and just the right amount of twist to give the story a new breath of fresh air.
Now don’t get me wrong, the Green Lantern origin story is one of the greatest there is. It is simple, uncomplicated; Abin Sur crashes, Hal Jordan is brave. What more do you want?
But the GL origin story was, more often than not, part of a greater story. This time, it is the story!

If you didn’t get to see Iron Man this weekend, you not only missed a great movie, but you missed trailers for some of this summer’s big movies, including The Dark Knight from Warner Bros. Yesterday, the Why So Serious? website updated itself with the theatrical trailer, that you can see here. You can also download a high resolution version of the trailers too.
Or, “From Giant Transforming Mafia Princess To Magic Hockey Stigmatism Geeks…”

Is it just me, or does Manhunter look remarkably like she’s telling that mysterious figure to knock off the bad Tor Johnson impersonation? “Would you please just get me my Pina Colada with an umbrella in it, please? Ed Wood is dead and I don’t feel so great myself, dangit!” Still, this issue heralds the return of Kate Spencer, Manhunter, to the ranks of the Birds of Prey, while another operative makes her graduation to the big leagues and Oracle has to evaluate her strategies… What are you waiting for? Alan Burnett has spent more consecutive years “in the Batcave” than anyone in animation history.
Not counting his stint on “Super Friends” in 1983, Burnett has constantly helped bring the Batman’s legacy to animation since 1991 – when he began scripting episodes of “Batman: The Animated Series,” the Emmy(R)-winning production widely considered a pivotal moment in American animation.
This summer, the latest animated venture into the Dark Knight’s mythos takes an altogether different approach than anything produced during Burnett’s 17-year association with the character. Burnett served as movie story editor and the writer of the anchoring segment of “Batman Gotham Knight,” the third in the ongoing series of DC Universe animated original PG-13 movies.
It only took one day for the trailer-esque DC Universe 0 to sell out at Diamond Comics Distributors. With all the mainstream press DC received from such outlets as The New York Daily News, the Associated Press, and The New York Times, as well as our own coverage, it is understandable that comic readers young and old went out to pick up this “jumping on point” issue.
In order to meet demand, DC is already back to press with a second printing that features a variant version of the original cover.
I think the sell out took DC by surprise, as the second edition won’t be available until May 28.

Or, “Whatever Happened To That Flash Kid?”

How many people think that “Wonder Woman Dipped In Honey” is going to bring us the hits like “Russian Ballerina In Leather Panties” did so long ago? I’m sure, somewhere, there’s an entire newsgroup dedicated to things like that. Maybe “rec.arts.comics.superheroines.food.fetish?” Either way, several months ago, at the end of the Lightning Saga, Wally West returned from the dead and and to League membership, but then took a spontaneous leave of absence. If you read ‘Flash,’ you may know where he’s been, but it may be a surprise as to why he has yet to return…
or, Holy Mother of Freakin’ continuity Batman! This is going to be huge!

If you haven’t been keeping track, we’ve been counting down (I don’t mean that as a pun but, damn it!) to DC’s final crisis event, wittily entitled, Final Crisis. Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns have paired up to write what is one of the most highly anticipated books of the last few years.
And not a word matters until you read the very last page!
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
