The good news for V fans is the series looks to have found its following, as the final installment of the alien invasion series was able to match last week’s viewership of 9.2 million viewers. While ABC’s publicity machine won’t confirm the show’s return in the Spring, the teaser spot at the episode’s conclusion should keep everyone’s hopes up.

I like this show, wasn’t sure I would but I dig it… and it’s been long enough that I don’t even remember the origonal series, though it may make me want to re-visit it later on…

Yes, that is a very funny coincidence and shows that relational keyword database queries are not the same as a human creating unique links. My guess is the Wonder Twins gag was triggered by the tag Laura Vandervoort that related to the tag Smallville. These kinds of things are great when they happen though…
I wonder if the 9.2 million viewers includes DVR viewings.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “DVR viewing up to seven days after a show’s original airing, “V” added 2.4 million more viewers for a final audience of 16.7 million viewers”.
That said, DVR viewers may have given Dollhouse a second season but it was ultimately cancelled, I fear the same fate will happen to V.
I thought the show’s return in March was a done deal. Well it just wouldn’t be a network show that I watch unless there was a constant threat of cancellation.
I’ve been enjoying the show, especially E. Mitchell. Her son – not so much. Sadly, it looks like He is not going anywhere any time soon.
Hope it sticks around, this and Dollhouse are/were the only two sci-fi-ish shows I’ve been able to get my wife interested in. Seems ABC is setting it up to fail with such a long layoff.
Could be worse, V could have the same hiatus as Glee.
I don’t think there’s ever been a threat of cancellation… Stephen just likes to worry about things. Any comic store owner will tell you that sales for #2 always drop off and pick up with #3 and #4. It’s part of the circle of pop culture life.
