I was looking forward to seeing the 1ooth podcast, but unfortunately had a stroke and was in the ICU when it happened. I just want you guys to know that even though I will be in the hospital for a few weeks recovering, I make sure my girlfriend has her laptop so we can listen to the podcasts. I look forward to the podcasts. They are very entertaining. Laying in a hospital bed is not the most interesting thing ever, but your podcasts really help to pass time. I have a tip for you all: if the catheter lady comes...hide.

P.S. I hope you guys have some second chance sweepstakes coming up since I missed the first one. Good luck with everything. F-- continuity!

While sitting in bed, I have conjured up a new superhero and I need opinions to see if it is in bad taste. His name is Strokeman. He gets his powers by forcing himself into stroke. Unfortunately, he needs a month of recuperation in order to use them to their fullest. So, in his place, his trusty sidekick, Catheter Kid, fights the forces of evil in his place. Good? No? Gotta admit its unique and a positive role model for those like me that had a stroke. I will take this time I have to myself to draw up a few sketches of what they would look like and post them when I can, but I mean, give e a break, I am in a hospital. Not much resources.

Ah geez, man,
all the best for your speedy recovery.
I reckon strokeman sounds like a winner but catheter kid makes me cringe a bit.  Make it Catheter-girl or woman and I might feel a little better.  A little kid sticking tubes in my pecker just takes me to wrong places I guess.

I love the concept!  Smiley. Good taste is so overrated.

it's ok, dude, if you had listened to Matthew's intro live you would have probably had two strokes.

Seriously though, best of luck with your recovery, calls us up to the skypeline when you're all better

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes. I am told I will make a great recovery. I did enjoy the intro, though I didnt stroke out a second time. I think my body absorbed the stroke(s).

A word to the wise: Guitar Hero World Tour is now banned in my home. My girlfriend and I are major Rock Banders and were hesitant to try GHWT. One day we decided to rent it and as soon as we got to Billy Idols "Rebel Yell" was when I had my stroke. I noticed as I was playing the expert lead, I started to miss notes, and not to brag, but that's unusual. So either, Billy Idol is Satan or GTHW is a direct portal to hell. Either way, it sucked. No dissing on those that like it, its just a mental scar for me now.

Billy Idol is Satan

A guy like him was famous so he sold his soul to the devil somewhere along the way!

Thanks for mentioning me in the podcast guys! Also thanks for the dedication. As for an update: here you go...

My eyesight is returning and I am gaining mobility on my left side (which was affected). In the 2 1/2 weeks I have been in inpatient rehab, I have gone from no mobility, to the wheelchair. Though I am in the wheelchair most of the time, I am able to use the walker and now even the cane. I even conquered the steps! To think of all the things you take for granted....anyway....Doctors say I can leave on Saturday and leave me to my bidding. The catheter nurses have stopped coming to me in the night like Dream Police. So, I am relatively safe. I can even draw again, so expect Strokeman drawings soon! Maybe even t-shirts!

Thanks goes out to my girlfriend who is my typist. Keep the podcast up and I will still be listening in my convalescence. All the references in the 100th podcast were entertaining, but not life threatening. When I get home, I will update you again. Thanks for all the support. And Guitar Hero World Tour is forever banned from my home.

If you didnt know, the Michael that donated money was the strokey Michael, aka me. So all you that dont donate, think of me. Recently home from the hospital, yet still managing to donate to my favorite podcast. For shame, all of you that can use their limbs....for shame.
