We're more fun than a barrel of Monks.  (D&D joke?)
Don't explain your joke, rookie mistake.
Besides it is funny if you think of it as the TV show too.

Hey all,

Big fan of the site & podcasts.  I too am a long time comic book fan & player of the D&D.

Keep up the great work!

Joined forum bout 2 days ago just didnt know this thread existed.. Hi I am Meowzer. I started gaming on my NES and still game today. I play anything form MMORPG's to the occasion FPS. I like pen&paper rpgs of various sorts, the most prevalent of late being 4e. I am a huge fantasy nerd, and the genre is what made me into the avid reader I am today. I am also a writer..More precisely I like to write, though I am not great at it..So writer may be stretching it. And currently 2 1/12 years into becoming a teacher.

I originally found Major Spoilers because I had been listening to the PennyArcade/PvP Podcasts, and the Chris Perkins D&D sessions on youtube, and found it really fun to just listen to a game. A friend of mine introduced me to Critical Hit. 137 hours later here I am. Finally joined the Forum to be a part of the community and to perhaps have some good discussions about various interests.

Hello, I'm Beanplate, named as such because that's what I have a habit of doing about things of little consequence, like video games, television shows, films, books, music, and most importantly what sacrifice your chosen dice deity prefers (for the record, Lord of Dice, and chicken in any form). Believe it or not, I'm not actually a comic book fan; I've never bought one, never pirated one... I've flicked through several while browsing through several different comic shops before now, but I've mainly been more a manga person over the years. As such, Major Spoilers is a gateway to one part of geek culture that I've never indulged in before, and honestly I've liked what I've seen so far! Well, obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be registered and posting this...

To explain how I got here as I'm not a comic fan, I was browsing iTunes a while back after listening to all the Wizards-Penny Arcade podcasts with glee, curious as to whether there was another D&D podcast comparable to them. I managed to stumble upon Critical Hits, and after listening to one or two episodes I promptly forgot about them. A few months later, I notice that I've managed to develop a queue of about twenty Crit Hits that I hadn't listened to. Unwilling to delete something I hadn't heard, I started afresh, and found myself laughing along after giving them my attention; undaunted by the prospect of over a hundred episodes averaging around an hour long, I began to archive binge. Two weeks later, here I sit, about five episodes off the current one (for the record, Orem finally snapping and going after some Elves...I assume), and MS is now one of the few sites I keep constantly tabbed in order to dip into stuff I haven't read or listened to yet.

In terms of geek credentials, I've got a love of anime and manga from the mainstream to more obscure titles that usually involve gore and raining anvils, if you get what I mean... I'm also a lover of all things tabletop, having started with D&D 3.5 around half way through its life and expanding from there into other games. I'm currently on the precipice of getting into Warhammer 40k, but mercifully I can't devote myself to it as I don't have a few grand to burn. I've been a gamer for longer than any of these, however; I'm not stating my starting system as a lady never states her age, and declaring my starting console is just as good as announcing my age to any geek community. Preferred gaming genres are RPGs be they Eastern or Western, fighting, survival horror and...strange games, such as Freak Out.

To close this introductionary essay... I'm an avid reader and some time writer, I've flunked out of university after doing two years of a Creative Writing degree for reasons I'm not fond of disclosing, I'm English, and I'm looking to complete the relevant courses in order to become a librarian. If you've actually sat and read all this, well done, and I hope I can actually contribute something useful around here!

My name is Brandon but in my heart I am CrowTRobot. I am new to the study of the comic arts and I am now here to stay as long as great stuff is published.

So... um... yeah. Stuff.

Hey all, Anthony from South Carolina.  I've been lurking for a while since starting to get my feet wet with DMing, which makes it safe to say that Critical Hit has brought me to using the forums.

I look forward to being part of the community, and sharing with you all!
