I have a friend who lives in South Korea. He is teaching English there.

Does anyone have any suggestions for web comics that could help a novice English-speaking person? Something suitable for children perhaps, to accommodate the acceptable subject matters and basic skills?

Possibly Qwantz? the early comics were fairly simple and it often discusses the finer points of the English language. How old are the kids?

I think they are adults. I meant "suitable for children" in the respect of using vocabulary suitable for younger-age English-speaking children.

Well in that case Penny Arcade and PVP might be worthwhile as they focus on gaming, which I know is a national interest in Korea.
Looking for Group perhaps. It generally sticks to limited vocabulary. Perhaps more advanced students could use it.
A softer world uses simple phrases.
