I was recently going through some of my periodicals, reorganizing themc, when I came accross my Giffen & DeMattis JLA/JLI/JLA again series.  I am looking at the covers and remembering the good times reading; Blue Beetle Ted Kord getting fat, Guy Gardner going from Asshole to Mr. Rogers (Not Captain America) anack to Sleazy asshole(tried taking Ice maiden to see "3 men and a Babe"), Even J'onn J'onzz and his fondness for Oreos that eventually made the Smallville cut.
Then I looked at the artwork of Ty Templeton which promted a flush of memories such "I can draw better than this cat and I am a fair artist" or this guy draws like either a drunk retard of the guy from "My Left Foot" was about.
I realize that he has his own style, and that he has been working in this business for a while, but I can't help but think, this is why Marvel was kicking D.C's Ass.  In a visual market, the "premiere" super hero team needs one of your best artists.  If he is your best, you need to recruit some High School kids, because I knew some who would kick Ty's butt in the 8th Grade.
All I ask is for people to try and explain his appeal, or if anyone knows whether he was sucking somebody off in the D.C. Executive Suite.
I Thank you in advance for any and all input.
