WTF

There's no way, not even with a galaxy wide language barrier, that that picture would ever make sense for marketing a snack chip

I don't care if that is real or not, it is too funny!  Perfect while waiting for the end of the day.

I can just imagine the words are saying "Doritos - the kick in the nuts you'll love".  But I don't speak Japanese, so I wouldn't know...

Doritos: Prefered by 9 out of 10 Midget Wrestlers.  The 10 one has lost his honor.

I've always found other countries marketing styles very interesting. This one is both funny and questionable.

On a side note, when Gerber first introduced jar baby food in Africa nobody would purchase it. They label their food with pictures of what is inside the jar. They thought we were trying to sell them jarred baby. lol

The first time I heard of that I burst into hysterical laughter.  People thought I was either stoned or something in my brain must have snapped.  Mostly because I had this mental image of "fresh" babies being plucked from trees by fruit pickers, all smiles and giggles in a basket.

Or the old classic of a maker of painkillers making a shot at an arab-speaking market. They used pictograms with the left panel showing a person in pain, the middle one showing a person eating the pills, and the right panel showing a person smiling. Which would make sense, if only arab-speakers are used to reading from right to left... I don't know if this is an urban legend, but I think it's rather funny Smiley

Don't forget the classic "Pen that won't embarrass you" campaing, it was translated directly into spanish, which means "The Pen that won't get you pregnant."

Now I understand why when some boys "become a man" they are given a pen and pencil set.  It's all so clear now!!   Cheesy
