"These gadgets make you nervous? This reminds me of home. Although most of the things we've seen so far would be little more than toys back home."
I gaze over at the woman sitting behind the desk and mutter to my self.
"I suppose I can let the young man have his moment."

The girl looks up at the party,
"Huh? Oh! Oh, sorry, yes! Let me-uh, okay..."
She lifts her goggles up to her forehead, revealing bright blue eyes. She trades her project with the Dwarf's letter,
"That's, um, a skeleton for something I'm working on...
Let me inform the Guildmaster."
With that, the young woman pulls a lever on her chair, and the assembly rocks back to the wall behind her; the wall revolves as she's about to crash, swinging clockwise to allow the female passage into the Guild, then resets into a blank wall.

I watch the exchange between Runeblade and the receptionist with concern
I nudge Dacien with my elbow and whisper to him
"I'm concerned for our stout axe bearer here, my uncle called his wife 'little lady' and tried to monkey with a stew she was working on once, and she stabbed him in the hand three times with a knife. She tried for an eye before he ran out of the hut"

Ultime watches everything in the hall with a look of contented satisfaction on his face. The various arcane mechanisms and devices throughout catching his eyes in turn.
"One has to be amazed by what arcane energies can do."

Dacian nods at Volds observation
"Agreed, my Grandfather once told me, 'Given a choice between swimming with sharks or accidentally insulting a woman, always choose the sharks, at least you can be sure they only want to eat you'. I miss that old man"

I look away wistfully, and put a hand on Dacien's shoulder, utterly convinced we're on the same page
"yeah, I remember when we ate my uncle, i think i was about ten. It really was a beautiful cerimony"

Cringing slightly, but trying hard not to show it, Dacian lets out a wistful sigh;
"A part of him will always be with you, I suppose"

{Runeblade, you recognize this as an Arcane Familiar, a Tome Caddy; it's shape is like an inverted spider, the four longest legs arrayed to hold a book, while the four shorter ones are intended to scuttle on the ground}

"Ah I remember working on items like this back in the academy, It is use to hold books so you can walk and read. See this right here.
Rune Blade turns the book caddy over and points.
" See it walks with the shorter 4 legs and it holds the books with the longer legs"

"You use them for reading? I had something like that as a child that held a pillow and would carry me around while I slept."

I compose myself a little more and peer over the dwarf and pixie
"Back in the desert when I was a calf we had something like that what would crawl into your tent as you slept and lay its eggs in your ears"
