I'm sure we'll get the chance. I crack up at the mental imagery of Me standing 1 foot tall trying to look as big as possible trying to protect you. I think at best I come 1/3 of the way up to your knee it's just a beautiful picture in my head.

Vold and Wingtip are already an awesome duo.

I have a minotaur npc in my current game but he is quite civilized.

I have always wanted to see a pixie Barbarian though. Maybe there should be some of those in my Faerie Kingdom when I design it.

I like the pixie paladin because in 4e I can use my high charisma as my attack stat because paladins have charisma based powers. Barbarians only have strength based powers and pixies don't get a bonus to strength. Someone out there I'm sure would do it but I'm a sucker for playing a race that's going to help my stats in 4e.

That may be necessary in 4E, I dunno. If I was DMing a game though and someone wanted to play a pixie Barbarian, I'd make it work for them just to reward them for the creativity.

The irl game I am DMing has a wizard who is blind. Very interesting character.

It's not necessary on the contrary they removed the negative stat abilities. I'm actually more adventurous with my character choices in 3.5 but that's probably because I've played it for so much longer.

So unlike my goblin sorc who is taking a hit to his cha just by being a gobo that i may or may not ever get to play. in 4e my Pixie could be anything and would never have to worry about which stat is going to take a hit because it doesn't matter. I would just get a boost to 2ndary stats instead of my primary.

Can one play any race with relative ease or is it like in 3.5 where you can play any race but you spend six hours trying to figure out the level adjustment?

Vold and Wing need to spar sometime, that'd be fun

Since Tonid- seems to be spastic about his posts and we're waiting on him would you like to have and out of character sparing match?

You can play any race you want and there is no level adjustment. Multi-classing took a big hit though. That is really complex in 4e

I still only know the basic PHB classes from 3.5 anyway. All the Warden or Warlock or whatever classes there are now is new to me.

Play able classes that are from normal sources are

(Controller) Druid, Invoker, Pison, Seeker, Wizard
(Defender) Battlemind, Fighter, Paladin, Swordmage, Warden
(Leader) Ardent, Artificer, Bard, Cleric, Runepriest, Shaman, Warlord
(Striker) Avenger, Barbarian, Monk, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Warlock

I left out assassin and Vampire because they're part of the essentials and we're not using the essentials stuff.

But "sparing" was okay?   Wink

I think you must have used the right word though, as Wing would "spare" Vold in a fight?  Grin
