chuck: i like the show, but i don't love it. i watch it, it's a good time waster i think. my friends love it though.

the boys: i want it exactly like the comic, and i want simon pegg to play his role.

I don't see how it wasn't fair.  You were told you could enter as many times as you like, and Julian did.  Plus, you won a prize too

really? i just spot checked the podcast to hear the winner and listen to half of it so far. the rest tonight.

i say it wasn't fair because i have nothing going on here. no convention, no stars and i don't know any cute girls who would pose for this (yes, all my close lady friends are are ugly).

Glad that everyone got to go home with their hands full.  I jumped up and down when I heard you announce my name.That statue is going right next to a framed copy of the poster right next to Milo Thatch (should that get here together with the statue) and my signed copies of DK1 and 2. 


Oh and Hermit I didn't mean to spite you or anything.  I just used the resources availible to me.  And it's not like I didn't try to get others to enter.

haha, no worry julian. i'm more pissed about my town than anything else. i'm jealous of you because of all the things you can do.     i could've track down some artists that are working with marvel right now (one of them is serge lapointe, who is going to the same store as me), but i just don't have the time. i had a hard time meeting the owner of the store, which a go every week, sometimes twice, so imagine trying to meet somebody that i don't know where to find,

and to make things worse, there's one of the rare convention in town this week-end, with cary nord as a guest, and i'm going out of town for my brother's birthday. talk about bad timing.

hey all,

you know what, since i'm such a good customer at my comic book store, the owner (the guy in the picture) gave me the statue, just like that, for free. i was picking up my sandman and death 20th anniversary bookend and he asked if i was still interested in the batman statue (because we talked about it when we took the picture). i said yeah, of course, i was planning to buy it sometime. he said, well you make me a lot of money so you deserve it.

sorry, i didn't mean to brag, i was just so happy, i couldn't get home fast enough to put it on my shelf and look at it.

That is the sign of a good LCS owner.  My guy James does the same thing with me. That's how we ended up having the statue to give away to begin with - he sent it to us and said we could keep or give away, and !DING! instant contest.
