Has anyone else heard about this guy who had surgery to become a Superman look-alike?

I'm a little torn on what I think about this.  On one hand, it is the guy's right to do whatever he wants.  It isn't like it would be the first time someone has had surgery to look "better" in their own eyes.  If it makes him happy, then great!

On the other hand, I find it just a bit disturbing.  He doesn't look natural (more when he's wearing those contacts) and I just find the whole thing a tad extreme.  Unlike people who make costumes or build their own replicas, he'll have to live with this or shell out big bucks if he ever falls out of love with his hero.

But I suppose if people can build replicas of the Enterprise bridge in their basements (or that one really cool apartment that was almost entirely spiffed up to look like right out of the Enterprise-D), then this shouldn't be that surprising.

Wow, I would say he's trying more to look like Christopher Reeves (Reeve? ehhh you know what I'm trying to say), because current Superman is only a bag of glitter and only a couple coats of anti-tan away from being a twilight cast member. This is all his right to do and blah blah its no more a ~thing~ your standard cosmetic surgery farce.

That tells me that the man doesn't like himself.  That is beyond being a fan with the attempt to immerse himself into the illusion of being another 24/7.
Sad if you asked me.  I pity the chap.
