So short and simple question. Whats on your pull list?

Mine: Batwoman, Supergirl, Atomic Robo, The Spider, Soulfire: Power, Ultimate Spiderman and the Rest of the Spider-men series.

I'm, unfortunately, not even reading comics right now. But, if I were, my pull list would be:

Uncanny X-Men, Avengers, Captain America, Legion of Super-Heroes, Morning Glories, and whatever title featured Kitty Pryde at the time.

My pull list is easy.  Go to comiclist.com, find the Marvel section and thats it.

Of course I don't buy all the extra covers or the editors choice.  However if it has anything to do with the MU I'll buy it.

As i said in an old post I don't stop buying a title no matter how bad it gets. The bad side is I am nearing critical mass and my "hobbie/addiction" has taken over the house.

I've never had a proper pull list, unless you count any Green Lantern series.  Otherwise I just walk in and grab what looks interesting and within what spare cash I have.  But other than Green Lantern, late 90's/early 00's JLA, the first 50 issues of Superboy and about half the run of Generation X, I've never really followed any series with any form of devotion.  I may like a character or someone working on the titles, I even have large runs of some titles, but it all comes down to what I decide to buy while I'm at the comic shop.

1.   Action Comics (2011)
2.   Aquaman (2011)
3.   Batman (2011)
4.   Chew (2009)
5.   Detective Comics (2011)
6.   Fantastic Four (1961)
7.   FF (2011)
8.   Flash (2011)
9.   G.I. Joe (2011)
10.   G.I. Joe Cobra (2011)
11.   Justice League (2011)
12.   Justice League Dark (2011)
13.   Morning Glories (2010)
14.   Skullkickers (2010)
15.   Superman (2011)
16.   Teen Titans (2011)
17.   Uncanny X-Force (2010)
18.   Uncanny X-Men (1963)
19.   Wolverine (2010)
20.   X-Factor (2006)

Those.

And these.

GREEN LANTERN

SNAKE EYES

WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN

And AvX...and anything else that catches my fancy.

Can't wait for Marvel: NOW so I can revamp my pull-list, yet again, because publishing simply cannot leave me alone.

I'll prolly drop my Hickman-less Four books, pick up his Avengers book and grab (and actually read) a Bendis book in the form of his X title. What I find interesting is that, as of right now, I plan on dropping more Marvel books and picking up less after the 'NOW' redo, while I did the complete opposite when DC had their reboot. But, as always, I'll have to wait and see.

My Pull List is getting rather ungainly. Aside from about a whole bunch of the New 52, (I've always been a DC guy) which I'll list later, I get: both Atomic Robo titles, Locke & Key, Spider-Men, Avengers Vs X-Men and Vs, The Crow.
As to the New 52...here we go...:Action, Earth 2 (for now, could get dropped), JLI (for now, could get dropped), Worlds Finest (for now, could get dropped), Batman, Batman & Robin, Legion Lost, Ravegers (for now, could get dropped), Resurrection Man, Superboy (for now, could get dropped), DCU Presents, Green Lantern, GL Corps, GL New Guardians (for now, could get dropped), Justice League, Nightwing, Red Hood, All Star Western, Aquaman, Batman Inc, Batman Dark Knight, Flash, Firestorm, Superman (for now, could get dropped), Teen Titans. God, when I list them all like that, it's rather a lot of books. Some will have to go.

Well that gives me a few more titles I might look into. My person at the comic store said they can get me back issues if I need it. Green Lantern was one I was thinking about getting not sure. But defenitally after Marvel NOW! happens I am probably going to get all the reboots relaunches whatever they are. From the October solicits the Thanos title sounds pretty good.

Also as an aside what have, you that have read it, the Court of Owls arc think of it? Thinking I might just pick this up in the trade.

The main Green Lantern book has been good. As is the Corps title. The New Guardians isn't great, but Kyle was the main GL when I really got in to the title, so I've a fondness for him.

The Court of Owl story has been good. Pick up Batman. It has been one of my favorite books each month. Snyder has been writing a great tale, and Capullo's art has been cool. The Night Of The Owls "event", which spanned the Bat family of titles, wasn't great though.

Wasn't that cross over in "court of owls" supposed to go into Batwoman? And i've read every Batwoman and I haven't seen anything.

It didn't actually turn up in Batwoman, I don't think. I think it was the only Bat title that didn't get a Night Of The Owls title, back in the #9 issues.

Agreed on Batman. IMO its the best of the bat-books (as it should be). Story, art, layout; everything is so wonderful. Its not hard to argue that this is THE best of the New 52 so far.

But I will politely disagree with you on CoO, but not very passionately. Its hard to do something really big with a character as badass and as old as Batman. Any time a publisher takes a character with so much backstory and so many skills when it come to knowing about...well, everything, and tries to add something new, not just to the reader, but to the character itself, it seems a bit off. The same thing happened in Wolverine: Origins, with Daniel Way spinning this tale of Wolverine having this huge part of his life that had been kept hidden from him, used against him without his knowledge, and has a son. But that book was met with so much more negative criticism from readers than I have heard about the CoO. I tolerated, and almost liked, what Marvel did with Wolvie in that 50 issue arc because it added another layer to the character that was fresh yet woven into the tapestry of the character in a way that provided more, new stories. The CoO did this in, like, 5 issues, did it with better story-telling, and did it with a character that is a whole lot more difficult than Wolverine to do something like this to.

Even if the arc itself wasn't your cup-of-tea, DC was able to add a new, fresh and seamlessly weaved layer into the Batman mythos, and made it popular, which cannot be an easy thing to do, and the stories that come out of all that, if DC take the initiative, have a whole lot of potential. Potential I think was wasted on the Wolverine story I mentioned.

I started reading comics again a couple months ago, (early 90's when i was a kid was the last time). I have started with the just jump into some stories that looked cool method and expanded the list slowly. Started on the Locke & Key series based on the reviews and like the story but it does give the willies while reading it. Was wondering about some good recommendations based off the what I'm already reading to take a look at. Thanks all.

It's funny probably would have had a more traditional pull list, but after listening to MSP for so long and taking their recommendations...the books I look forward to the most are Invincible and Walking Dead but Aquaman, Green Lantern, Justice League, Animal Man, and Wonder Woman (shout out to MSP listener who called in and recommended it) are also good. Given that their suggestions are good, I am afraid to even try Atomic Robo...I may become addicted Tongue

Oh and while I tried Axe Cop...I think having Rodrigo narrate has spoiled me. I want an episode of the MSP narrating Axe Cop. I might just pee myself while listening Smiley
