Rachel walks closer now that Aphra and Aerik have appeared.
"Jett said t'e Trust be in t'e keepin' o' a man wit' a walking cane, aye? I remember such a man from me dreams, an aging Knight named Sir Peter Carrigan."
"Bedlor, wot do ye be rememberin' o' t'e man? I only 'ave fuzzy dreams but ye knew 'im."
"Maybe if we t'ink o' t'e one doin' t'e carrying, we be a mite closer to findin' 'is keepin'."

Tren looks to everyone.
"I must prepare for my infiltration. I will meet you all back at the castle if I have not already gone. Aphra, Aerik could you accompany me? I want to know absolutely everything you saw before I do this."

"*sigh*
Carrigan be one o' the mightiest warriors I e'er be knowin'. A Protector, such as meself, given title by a weapon o' 'is very own.
But 'fore that 'e be a weak-minded fool. Scared like a child. 'Is fear turnin' 'im into a 'ermit an' makin' 'is family crazed.
They be livin' in that manor 'ouse that Tren be 'eaded to in the world we be leavin'."

Aerik and Aphra reply; working with each other to complete their information.
"Last night there were a dozen Monks of the Lone Pine camping in the city. They were situated at the border to the residential part of the city to the east."
"Also last night there was the scent of a dead body. It was being moved...or moving of its own volition. I couldn't get sight of it in the darkness but the way it wove in and out of the shadows I took it to be a single body that was easy to hide."
"Today the camp was gone. We only saw a half-dozen monks in the crowd. I don't know if this means there were an equal number elsewhere or if it was some sort of ruse."
"I didn't smell anything out of the ordinary today. But the crowd of humans in this heat made things a little rank anyway."
"After the 'monk' you was talking to vanished, we followed the other monks as they headed into the crowd. They went east until they were out of sight then removed their disguises."
"That's when we saw they were Dark Tomorrow. Their black cloaks and white skull masks were unmistakable. They were also using a series of hand signals; some kind of silent communication."
"Those six entered the Solemn Rest Cemetery and cut through the far side into a small meadow within the city walls. I don't know why there is a field inside the city."
"I could see an old manor house over the rise. As near as we could tell, that is the only place they could have gone."
"I wanted to trail them but that open field would have been a really good place to lay traps. Finding and defusing that kind of stuff isn't my specialty so we came back here."

Tren rubs his chin.
"Those hand signals are going to be a problem. I may need to scope out and learn them before I could enter. Unless I attempt to gain entrance to their guild as a newcomer.
This may take a few days but I believe I could rise quickly in such an organization. Alright I have my plan then. Enghart anything I should check for while at the manor. I mean wasn't Carrigan the weilder of the protector of the elves?"

Tren nods in acceptance.
"Very well I will go prepare for my mission."
Tren moves to fly up to the castle.

Aphra, rather reluctantly, joins Coby for his mission. Coby, Aphra, Vinnrog, Inoke, and Aerik all join you to fly to the castle before going their separate ways.
Bedlor, Liv, T'Ning, Rachel, Aldina, and Moira stand in a field outside the city walls.

Aldina replies.
"I can make all of us invisible with no problem. It will only last about fifteen minutes and we'll have to stay within 180 feet of each other but it's here if you need it."

Moira bumps into you, accidentally nudging you.
"Oh - sorry, hon."
She recovers and continues.
"Something I don't understand is why Sir Carrigan would be here. I understand that in the former universe he lived here to hide from Maldomkin with Ximon's aide."
"But, as you said, here he was never the Protector of Elves. He was never in Maldomkin's service or even a Knight so far as we know."
"So why would a crippled man come so far from Illumian's main holding, to an eastern farming town?"

"Aye. This world be skewed, like a pond wit' its ripples.
Carrigan be one o' the sorriest excuses for a man I e'er be layin' these dwarf eyes on when I first be meetin' 'im. By the time we be sent 'way from that other world 'e be one o' the most 'onorable men I e'er be 'avin' the good chance o' shakin' 'ands wit'...an' callin' friend.
I be 'avin' me worries 'bout who the man we be knowin' as a knight be now."

Moira nods.
"And I as well."
"For Lyric and the followers of Illumian, Maldomkin, and Sashca to all be here suggests perhaps they too know the Trust is nearby. But if they knew more of Sir Carrigan than we do they wouldn't be here, I suspect."
"They, like we, seem to be hoping to run onto him first. If we could be more proactive in our search we might have the advantage, for we know more of at least one version of the man than they ever will."

Tren, you arrive on the cloud castle with Aphra, Aerik, Vinnrog, Inoke, and Coby. Kofi greets you with a curt nod as Azure, Nephros, and the Angels of Death circle the castle.
"No one has come through 'cept Pontiff and her party,"
he reports.
"Hobgoblins are restless. We not fight in big battle, only some die."
"When we either fight or get big reward of equality promised?"
