[Navarre]

Aphra frowns.

"Well, the witch is in a Hell I don't know but, last I saw Maldomkin, he didn't have enough power to even get out of his chair. His own soul was fractured among millions of Hare and he couldn't get any soul energy because the planes were sealed. None of the dead ever came his way."

"But that was before. Even with the planes sealed, things didn't happen the same way."

"The coup went through, yeah, but all of the gods were kind of on equal footing. I mean, Maldomkin in this new universe was never trapped in Laukordia, right?"

Coby shakes his head.

"Nope. He's around, just like the rest of them. Has those Dark Tomorrow people working for him. Terrorizing the monks of T'Ning's temple, last I heard."

[Strifeter]

Tren frowns.

"And the souls of the grey realm are all gone. Too much of a coincidence. All of this does not bode well for anyone in this world. We will need to stop Lyric and soon or we will all pay the price.

Angel, what will you do should we let you go. Will you go back to Illumian? Or will you attempt to drop a castle on West Wellington again?"

[Navarre]

The Anti-Seraphim replies.

"I am outmatched and outnumbered here. I will return to the Host and leave you be."

Your sense of him is that he speaks truthfully of his concern and does not intend to confront you under the current circumstances. But his loyalty to Illumian remains, meaning it is most likely he will return to his masters with as much information as possible and return to, hopefully, kill you at a later time.

[Strifeter]

Tren frowns.

"If I let you go you will come back to TRY to kill us later. What do you think I should do angel."

[Navarre]

The Angel shrugs in disdain and defiance.

"What can you do, mortal infidel?"

[Strifeter]

Tren smiles darkly.

"Kill you and find out what happens to your soul."

Tren slides his rapier and throwing daggers from their sheathes.

[Navarre]

The Angel glares at you with hatred though a touch of rising fear.

"Is this your 'mercy'? Is this the mark of the Defenders of this world?"

Coby steps up.

"He's right. We can't cut him down like a pig at slaughter."

[Strifeter]

Tren glares.

"That is your problem defender. I am not so noble and do not care of the worlds opinion of me."

[Navarre]

Coby frowns.

"If we are going to kill anyone who's against us, what's the point in saving anything? It's only a new regime."

"What's he gonna do? Go back and tell the Angels we're traveling around on a castle and killed some of his Angels? Don't take a scout to see that."

"Let him go."

[Gaumer]

"Oi, ye'd let one go on account o' mercy 'im 'imself would not be showin'? Ye be the Protector o' Angelkind now as well, mate?"

Bedlor rubs his chin

"Sure'n as this beard be on me face this angel be committin' crimes 'gainst us, but West Wellington law it be under...er, o'er, if'n ye get me meanin'. If'n we give the angel to the people below it could earn us some more favor; bringin' the guilty to the gallows, by my seein'. Nothin' be settin' a crowd off more than a good showin' o' justice, eh?

Better than lettin' it go an' far better than wastin' it wit' a blade in its gullet."

[Navarre]

Inoke examines the Angel of Illumian.

"How we keep him from fighting when we let him out of cage? People down there don't look like good fighters."

[Gaumer]

"Sure'n this cloud castle that be grantin' wishes can be grantin' us somethin' to tie it up wit' that not be breakin' under the strength.

An' an armed guard be puttin' a frown on any escape attempts, by my seein'. If'n its brothers in wings be comin' back for it, all the more to be killin' by my measure."

[Strifeter]

Tren sneeres at the angel.

"One move I don't like angel and you will be like your precious tormentor."

[Navarre]

Coby ponders.

"If we can keep him prisoner here, it serves him right. I dunno if the castle can hold off any magic he might throw out but I'm sure we can cage him like a canary."

The Anti-Seraphim continues to glare at all of you, especially the threatening Tren, as he is moved into the castle by Coby. The halfling returns soon, nodding that the Angel has been contained.

With that, you set off for West Wellington.

[Navarre]

While Kofi and his hobgoblin snipers remain behind with the elven scouts to guard the castle, the rest of you descend to the city of man below. Tren, T'Ning, Rachel, Aerik, Coby, and Aldina are garbed in the cloaks of commoners as they bank off toward the merchant quarter.

The narrow alleys rise about you as you drop inconspicuously into them near the office of the wit master. You immediately begin working your way silently toward the main thoroughfare then out into the bright sunlight of the summer morning.

The city has a nervous energy all its own this day. The events of yesterday have left the people unsettled and restless.

Merchants, commoners, and City Guard all seem on edge as they attempt to go about their daily business. All around you the conversation is on the Angels of their god that have fallen dead and dismembered from the sky as well as the 'Guild of the Ark Moon' that has proclaimed itself the Watchers of their world.

You are making your way toward the center of town when you see a bright white light shining from above you. It is not the sun but something nearly as bright yet mobile.

All eyes turn upward as you see your party descending in a nimbus of pure white light. Moira shines like the sun, her arms outstretched, as the party lowers themselves feet first.

Bedlor, Liv, Moira, Vinnrog, Inoke, and Aphra touch down gently in front of the city's temple of Light. The glowing aura and Liv's great white wings, as well as the recognition of Bedlor and Moira, send the entire population of West Wellington to their knees. All eyes are averted as you hear Moira's voice over the now-silent throng.

"Followers of The Light, hear me. I am Moira Rashai, Sacred Servant of the World Spirit. Protector of All Life and charged with the task of illuminating this world from ignorance, deceit, and war."

"It is this ignorance which will be abolished this day. It is this deceit which will be uncloaked and washed away by truth. It is this war which we will see ended, together."

"War is fought and won by warriors but borne on the blood of all people, citizens and soldier alike. So I bid thee the harken to the words of the greatest soldier on all Ashearea but one who represents Man and all mortals in his wisdom."

"The things you believe are not as you know them to be. Rise, people of Ashearea and turn your eyes and ears to Bedlor Enghart."

A thousand people rise slowly, afraid and confused, as all eyes now turn from the dirt at their feet to you, Bedlor.
