I jumped in to The New 52 with both feet, and all my wallets. I got titles I knew I'd enjoy, such as Batman, Justice League, and Action. I got titles I thought I'd enjoy, because I like the characters, such as Green Arrow, Flash, Aquaman. And I got titles because I'd heard good things about the characters, and wanted to give them a shot, such as the Legion books, Firestorm and All Star Western. And now, nine months later, I am still picking up a few books I know I shouldn't.
Green Lantern. The new creative team did nothing to help fix a floundering title. Don't much care for the story, and the art got sucky.
Legion of Superheroes. While I'm kinda enjoying Legion Lost, I just cannot get in to the main Legion book.
Justice League Dark. I like Deadman, and really liked his DCU Presents series, but this book is not good.
Superman. I'm liking Morrison's Action, but the main Supes book is not gripping me at all.
Each time I intend on dropping these titles, amongst others, I keep saying "I'll give it one more issue". Are you like that with any books?

No. Not even a little bit. If it sucks for three issues, its dropped. No excuses. No regrets.

JLD is the only DC team book I read that feels like the members, all the members, sincerely do not enjoy being on a team with the other members. While this can bog down the usual action in a team book it makes for brilliant character interactions, something I feel is missing in far too many books. That's why I continue to read it and books like X-Factor: Its a team book that isn't simply a solo book with 5 guys kicking ass instead of just one guy.

I am waiting on for Justice League Dark and All Star Western to be released as trades. I figured I would enjoy them, and this way I can kind of preview what I've missed and decide if I should start forking over money for the titles on a monthly basis. I just don't have enough scratch to buy multiple issues each month.

By all means, if the titles aren't doing anything for you, stop buying them. That is just about the only way the folks at DC can see their current direction isn't working.

I gave Green Arrow a couple more issues than I should have, but otherwise I've been pretty quick to cut titles. I've actually been enjoying Green Lantern (other than the first issue where Doug Mahnke got inked with a sledgehammer); sorry to hear you haven't gotten into it.

Yeah, I've been bored to tears with a few titles that I was reading, but I did get a reprieve when some were cancelled.  I got a little annoyed with that Secret Origin book for the Legion of Super-heroes too.  It wasn't a terrible book but it had quite a few simple spelling errors that bothered me.  They'd spell BGTZL like that in one panel and two panels later on the same page it would be BGZTL.  It happened multiple times, and this is totally just me but in the background (especially in the footage the security council is watching) the Legion flag is always waving in a way that it obscures the "L" with a circle around it.  I saw it a bunch of times and just thought that maybe they would save a panel at the end with everyone posing with the flag flying clearly behind them...but it never happened, just stayed all scrunched up.  Like I said, that is admittedly a stupid thing to think about.

More to the point...I've been getting Frankenstein but kinda hating the art, it's really scratchy art and in some scenes especially in Shade City it reminds me of a colored in version of Ted McKeever artwork.  Issue #6 did have a little Watchmen element to it though, so read into that story what you want.  I agree with being bored with Green Lantern's main title, but I do really like New Guardians, although I'm sure some of that is due to my preference of Kyle Rayner as GL; I like them all, but much like your favorite Doctor or captive in the Satallite of Love, he's who I first became introduced to.  I tried all of the titles and I read all of them up to partway through issue #6 before starting to cull the herd, but Men of War, Blackhawks, Batwing, Captain Atom, Firestorm, Hawk and Dove, Mister Terrific, O.M.A.C., Savage Hawkman, and Static Shock were all titles that I had no problem dropping.

There are a few titles that started out shaky or seemed to be met with resistance by others that I actually enjoy, including: Teen Titans, Aquaman, Justice League Dark, the Legion books (never been much of a Legion man before), Stormwatch, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman.  Those are only the titles I like that others seem to have some issues with.  I really enjoy Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Batwoman, Demon Knights, I, Vampire, Resurrection Man, and Supergirl.

Are there any titles that you were about to drop but got good all of a sudden and you still keep?  (Not just titles you keep buying because you're a completionist.

While I'm kinda enjoying Legion Lost, I just cannot get in to the main Legion book.

In regards to Legion Lost, I do find myself really liking this title.  One benefit for a person who hasn't read a lot of Legion before now, the premise of this book limits the members to a manageable number.  I'm totally fine with a huge Legion cast, but having only like 6 members running around makes it so much easier to keep straight.  Plus, I actually kinda like the fact that this Hypertaxis virus has expanded these Legionnaires powers, hopefully the expansion won't be crazily overdone, but like Timberwolf discovering that he can fire his claws as projectiles and new claws will grow back is kind of cool.  Have they stated what any of the other additional powers are for any of the others?
