Is anyone else excited about this? These are the two books that got be back into comics, so I am pretty pumped they are coming together. I had no idea at issue 1 of the New 52 for these titles that they would crossover, however it became pretty apparent after issue 3 or so. What do you guys think of this?

Here is a post from Jeff Lemire's, writer of Animal Man, blog about it:

July cannot come soon enough.

Yeah, the preview was interesting. Animal Man has been interesting and I am liking Jeff Lemire's work. Specifically with things going on in the family and in Swamp Thing. Given that RotWorld seems to have major implications in an alternate future, my only concern is that the actual final outcome won't have any big implications. Hopefully at least it bring both of these characters into the "warrior king" motif of their respective groups.

Be interesting to see more of the Red, Green, Rot mix...

plus I am curious on the "Earth 2" side if this directly correlates to the Green Lantern vs Grundy thing or if that is more Black Lanterns vs Green Lanterns...or maybe something else entirely since Earth 2 seems to be more magic based.

I wasn't too big a fan of the idea that Green lantern/Grundy represents Green versus Rot. What does the green lantern corp have to do with plants? Maybe I missed something though.

It's strangely similar to the Green, but I don't think identical. However, Earth 2 chooses one person to be its protector and draw energy from it...a little too close to the Green to be a coincidence? Don't know
