Avengers Trade paperback help

I haven't read many comics but I'm trying to get into some through Trade paperbacks. Any suggestions of trade paperbacks or collections to get into the Avengers? Any help would be appreciated

I'd pick up the Bendis ~2005 "New Avengers" trades (NOT to be confused with the recent renumbering of the title) that relaunched The Avengers in the wake of Disassembled.

The Avengers had been sort of off the table and floundering until Bendis put all of Marvel's biggest guns- Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, etc.- back into the team to restart the series.  Since they act like this is the first time Spidey and Wolvie have been on the team, it acts like an entry point for new readers into the new era of The Avengers.  The trades lead into Civil War which essentially set the tone for the next near-decade of Marvel stories.

I did enjoy the New Avengers story, even with Wolverine's obligatory inclusion. Recommended.
