Marvel Universe 616 would be interesting.
The upside of living in New York: Seeing superheroes every day.
The downside of living in New York: Seeing super-villains every day.
Interesting but I can't imagine the horrible politics that comes with super-heroes hanging around. For me, 616 is too much like the real world to be any sort of fun, even with Cap and Spidey running around. And I bet the comics suck there

No they don't. Their comics don't all have Wolverine in them.

Yeah, but the nightly news and every 20/20, Nightline, Current Affair and all that shit would be full of what I read in comics. With comics having...who? The Adventure of Tim Smith: Dental Assistant? BORE RING!

At least you could see Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Avengers on the screen at the same time.
Hey, was that Captain America or the Human Torch??

But it would be so scary and worrisome. Look how excited we got about terrorists and there are definitely more alien and Ultron attacks in America in a given year than terrorist attacks IRL.
While Marvel finds this sort of crap boring, judging from the lack of Post-Civil War continuations of established status quo, I think the mindset of the civilians in comic book universes is intriguing as hell.
I think its easier to name places we would NOT want to live. Planet of the Apes. I'd make a horrible pet

I wouldn't want to live in any world that didn't have comics. I bet the Klingon home world doesn't have comics.

Oh, the Klingon Opera, sure. That alone is enough to get anyone to move there.
I'd like to live in the time of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Sure there are always a lot of crises. But I dig those girls flying by in their mini-skirts.

I'd love to live in the Whedon-verse, where everbody is witty and cool, and even the geeks kick ass. One MAJOR problem with that is that I would likely die. Be it in the Buffy-verse at the hand, or fang, of a vampire or other manner of beastie. Or in the Firefly-verse at the hand of an Alien. That's right, a Giger Alien. "How is that possible?" you ask. Check out the screen of Mal's big gun from the Firefly pilot, Serenity (

Or the View Askew-niverse, where everyone is funny and awesome.

At one point I really did wish I lived in the same world as Buffy, but after the events of the comics cut off magic from the world, not quite so much. Although I probably would have left the Earth dimension by then for a hell dimension filled with half-demons that look like asian women, so maybe it's not too bad. I'm sure theres a French girl demon dimension for Navarre too. And a Bea Arthur dimension for Slappy.
I'd probably be unable to resist summoning Mr. Sweet, the musical demon, so that might be an issue.

I already feel like I live there. I have a couple of close friends that are just like Jay and Silent Bob, and we do tend to get ourselves into situations that feel like it could have been part of one of those movies. But thankfully I don't know anyone who died in mid backstroke at the Y.

Alisha, Lutharian, and I could all gather our resources and either transport ourselves to the dimension of cute Asian girls. Or, heck, just create one from our wishes and imagination.
I would find a cute Asian girl who speaks French very interesting. Slappy might ruin it all for me when he takes over with his Bea Arthur legion.
