So I clicked my bookmark to go see the main site only to be greeted by a big page of "not found".  In fact, NOTHING is there, not even past articles.

Did I miss something?  Is the main site simply down for a bit?  Did someone spill kool-aid on the servers?  Or is it something more sinister?

Until I hear otherwise, I'm blaming the white people.  I don't mean caucasians either, I mean Imperial Stormtroopers.  Those jerks ruin everything.

Had a database error occur while trying to speed the site up, so currently the table that houses the stories is unavailable.  I pay a lot of money for nightly backups and tech support from GoDaddy, so one way or another, the site will be back soon, plus or minus a few stories...

Thanks for asking.

Thanks for replying, I was really worried something majorly bad had happened (too many reports about hacking lately got me overly worried that maybe the site got hit).

I'm glad it wasn't anything too terribly drastic and I hope things go smoothly getting it restored.

And if GoDaddy gives you a problem, kick em in the teeth.  Grin

There was a virus on the site earlier, and during the process of plugging the holes, and trying to add some speed improvements, things went wonky.  Just playing a waiting game right now, and reading me some Lovecraft for tonight's show.

But just to be clear, the Apocalypse didn't happen, right? If it did, I want to take tomorrow off.

There's a lot of clean up that needs to take place after the Apocalypse, so you better show up to work anyway, and bring a mop and bucket.

That's true. Apocalypses are rather messy affairs. Thanks for the tip.  Smiley

Seems to be a messy day for everyone.  Xfire is having issues, my favorite site (this one, in case that isn't obvious), several other sites I frequent, etc.

I have come to the only logical conclusion:

Slappy did it.  Slappy is ruining the internet.

Man sucks you all have to go through another crash.  You'll get it all worked out soon having the support in place I'm sure.  On a side note I ended up buying more stuff from the amazon link over the weekend so hopefully that kicks you all a little something.  Got myself more board and card games...you know for the apocalypse ;P

Having board games for the apocalypse is a necessity. Just like guns, ammo, and food stuffs.

Just try not to play with the radioactive mutants.  They always win.  "Left hand, green.   No, your OTHER left hand, the one with the claw!"

Zombies tend to cheat as well since the rules do not technically state (although it is implied) that a body part must still be attached to the body when moving to another color.
