Fan Contributions (Reviews or Feedback)

Thought I would start a thread where everyone can discuss the podcasts and give some feedback or contribute some reviews. I mentioned in another thread that I had written up a review for Ratfist and am going to be calling it in. If it isn't chosen to be played figured I would post it here just so it can be read. Let me know what you think of it in either format.
Raistlin here calling in with my review on Ratfist. Of course this is
my opinion and all context that could be provided by a list of likes,
dislikes and personality breakdown will not be. What will be provided
is a primitive numerical ranking system all of you are familiar with.
Ratfist was a Web Series by Doug TenNapel taken offline and printed in
one handy graphic novel by Image comics. I got my copy through the
amazon link on MajorSpoilers.com and read it in one sitting. Now that
may not be impressive at 158 pages but Ratfist having to drive the
daily online readership and still deliver a compelling story arc
impressed me. The humor is good and the story is well written but
sometimes it felt dated suffering from Mystery Science Theater
syndrome. Just to cut that statement I love MST3k and enjoyed Mike
Nelson's forward. In fact it was that and Doug TenNapel's Earthworm
Jim that attracted me to this book. Normally I would say this baited
me in but this title surprises and let me off the hook. It stands
alone and those with at least a couple decades on them will enjoy this
one. I leave the spoilers to the guys but I give Ratfist 4 outta 5.
So there it is. My call is obviously going to have an out but I am not preparing it in a written format since I want it to be more from the heart then from the page. I hope everyone likes it and please don't be scared to contribute.

Glad you're thinking of calling in.
If you want your comment on the show keep it under a minute in length, sometimes we play longer ones, but if the show runs long then the long comments are more likely to get cut.
Also, we prefer that threads are started by topic, so if you have a review of Ratfist post it, if you have feed or comments back about the podcast post it separately.

I was thinking about this being a general thread for all who want to contribute in different ways. I just used what I had prepared for Ratfist to lead off.

I was hoping people would have more to say on these forums elspecially when given a open ticket to express their opinions on the podcasts. I guess I will continue...I always have opinions.
I just listened to the recent Critical Hit mail episode and one thing occurs to me. You guys seem to be really attached to D&D as a format. I understand given the title and the content but I'm concerned that by making grand statements you are turning off other publishers. The Drizzt board game was fun for me and I don't see why you can't do a few episodes of another format when Rodrigo needs time. This would show Wizards that you aren't going to just use their stuff forever. Understand that you fear a CnD but you are a almost a 2 hour weekly advert for D&D. Branching out may also expand your audience and turn on other companies that can then pay you the big bucks Wizards won't and we can't provide. At least I certainly can't...all I have is my time and energy(listening/pimping and posting). Hopefully that is enough and this post doesn't make me look like a huge ass.

Sorry I have not replied to this thread. I have been too busy running my own D&D games and have not listed to the Critical Hit podcasts so I have no valid opinion. They obviously have many followers so they must be good.
As for myself, even if someone else were to praise another gaming system, I doubt I would play. I am a die-hard D&D fan, preferring 3.5 to 4E. But that's just me enjoying my comfort zone.
