Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was great. Faithful to both book and original film yet standing on its own merits.
Drive was a better movie than some realize...possibly including myself. I am aware that I am missing some subtleties that make it great. So I am that intuitive yet the full range of nuances in that film slightly elude me.
That alone makes me like it all the more.

Just recently, I watch Battleship which makes my spare time perfectly. And this day, I'll sacrifice my legs again to fall-in-line to watch this movie the AVENGERS.

Let this be the year of Joss. My favorite movies of late have been his works. He wrote the genre subverting Cabin In The Woods, and wrote and directed the brilliant Avengers.
In Joss we trust!

You are so right!
Poor Gaumer is confused to even suggest that Joss hasn't had nearly everything to do with how great The Avengers has turned out as a film standing on its own merits (not the comics or previous works).
Also, The Cabin in the Woods was brilliant in its inception. I think Joss is finally going to get the recognition he deserves instead of just being that guy who wrote Buffy and Firefly with that little fan club.

No I'm not
I was just bringing up some thoughts for debate.
I've loved everything Joss Whedon has done. I think he deserves to get more work too.
I just hope every step forward he takes professionally, is another step closer to Firefly Season Two. I don't see anything he ever does in the future more adored by me than that property. But I'll enjoy the ride regardless.

I would love to see a Firefly S2 as well. But I think that ship has sailed for him.
In fact, I kind of think tv series in general are behind (though not beneath) him. The way his properties such as Angel, Firefly, and Dollhouse have been treated by the studios is a travesty.
At least with his movies, once he is given the green light as writer/director, it's his show. I think his future will embarrass Fox and all they've put him through, make DC wish he'd done Wonder Woman, and leave the door wide open for whatever project he is inspired to do.
All Hail Joss!
