"I have no intention of dying. Though, when I do, I will make Sashca proud," the Elf says.

As he does, several scouts look up to see a beautiful blonde wizard descending from the sky. Serena looks at you as she hovers a few feet off the ground like a petal on the breeze.

"Everything alright here, Tren?" she asks, her hazel eyes fixing on the dozen scouts, but doign them the courtesy of speaking in their native tongue.

Tren looks up and smiles.

"Quite alright Serena yes."

Tren looks at Aerik thoughtfully.

"Aerick I have an offer for you and your men, that is ofcourse if you are willing to here it?"

Aerik raises an eyebrow.

"A bargain, perhaps? No, that would be Maldomkin's way."

"I sense you have something else in mind. Speak."

Tren smirks.

" Aerik, my goal is knowledge and peace. You and I are both elven born and can understand that peace can be achieved in many ways. I look to gain contacts all throughout this world. Men, elves and even the odd dwarf to whom I can trust is what I seek.

What I offer is a position within my organization. You and you men alike. I do not require anything of you or that you give up anything. All I ask is that you keep your eyes open and your ears sharp and share with me anything you find interesting.

My goal is to create a guild filled with like-minded individuals so that we can all prosper and gain from each others resources.

Your talents as a scout interest me greatly but it was your openers of the suspect nature of the mission that you are currently on that truly caught my attention.

I offer you a position in the Guild of the Ark Moon as a leutenant."

Dayspring takes a long minute to consider the proposal. He replies.

"I have not been entirely suited for this war. Though I will shed blood or even take life in the service of my cause, filling Sashca's chambers with souls for no other reason than the war itself brings no satisfaction to my heart."

"Given enough time, it will be my friends or family who walks through Sashca's doors far too soon. As much as our lives must bear meaning, so should our deaths as well. This war does not serve that end."

"I will join you, Ark Moonstride. My men serve me and feel as I do. We have had long talks into the night about such things."

"Call me lieutenant if you must but what shall your...our...guild be named? And what do we do from here?"

T'Ning nods back to Nephros, straightens up and shrugs. "I've always thought I was special, but nifty auras I'm not terribly familiar with," he says with a grin.

T'Ning twirls his staff in his hands for a few moments, then walks over to one of the bigger hobgoblins, an pokes him with his staff. "Care for a little spar? I'm getting antsy here."

The hobgoblin looks at his superior, Kofi, Tren's lieutenant. Kofi regards you briefly then shrugs.

"Until Tren say different we stuck here on cloud. Damrogann, God of War, teach never to let chance to improve skill pass."

"This is Monk of Lone Pine though. He superior foe. We fight those in numbers."

The first hobgoblin was the one glancing at Kofi. He turns back to see your fist coming squarely into his face.

His broad nose becomes even broader as your strike crushes into it. His orange eyes cross and he drops to the cloud unconscious before he even knew what hit him.

His comrade fares no better. He tries to maneuver out of the way but he is still recovering from his own failed swing at you.

He recovers his ground just in time to feel your sandaled heel sink into his sternum. The exhalation of his breath is so strong it flutters your shirt.

You realize two things from your opening salvo as your second opponent also drops to the ground:

The first is that though they attack no better than any other hobgoblin you've met, they are twice as hard to take down. They obviously do a lot of body conditioning to survive in their forest.

The second thing you realize, is that hobgoblins have really bad breath.

{Which hobgoblin do you want to take down on that second attack?}

{End of Round 1. Grid and Initiative for Round 2:}

The hobgoblins, despite their rapid losses, glare at you with the determination you would expect from a true warrior. But, even as they ready themselves, you are on the move.

{You have initiative this round. Your turn.}

After his foot connects with his second opponent, T'Ning fluidly falls back into form and launches after his next target.

{Going after in this order, barring hits, AE72, AD72, AD74.}
