Lyric shakes her head.

"You are all confusing me. I can't trust anyone."

[chrysalis]

"You just killed the ones I love. You shouldn't trust me, it's understandable. I have made you an offer though. You can stay with me, and be my helper unless someone else in the group has another offer for you that you like better. You seem to have no problem making difficult decisions, I expect you to make one by morning as to what you are going to do."

[Navarre]

Lyric nods.

"You will know my decision by morning."

The hour is late and the day has been draining. Sleep calls to you.

{Are you setting up watches? If so, who, where, and in what time frame?}

[chrysalis]

(Heck yes we are going to take turns watching. We know bad things go bump in the night!)

[Gaumer]

"I'll be stayin' up. Seein' eternal rest can be makin' one a bit shy to close 'is eyes.

Sure'n I be 'avin' a bit o' 'elp, eh mate?"

Bed looks for Saint and for the little squirrel he saw earlier.

[Navarre]

Saint Caelun, always vigilant, looks at you. You can tell he is a bit rattled by his death experience but he is ready to keep a watchful eye over you as you sleep.

A chatter from the limb above you draws your eyes to the frisky squirrel who has befriended you.

[Navarre]

The night brings sleep quickly to all those not keeping watch. The more you live in this world the more you realize it is not home or anything like it.

The land is torn by war, as was yours, but this war is visible and palpable. The people are warped images of those you knew and the line between friend and foe seems thin and blurred.

The loss in the last two days is staggering. Those you love, at your side only this morning, are now buried beneath the ground. No matter how hot the blazing sun may be, this world feels bitterly cold.

The dreams are not pleasant. The sleep is not restful. But, for now, it may be the best thing you have.
