Thanks for the go-ahead, Tondi-
@Strifeter, sliksham, thenewnumber2, Meowzer, & Orillion This here will be where you can discuss/propose/consider options for your character in the Floating Lands PbP, including powers, feats, skills, and abilities.
For myself, I plan to take Warrior of the Wild for my Lvl. 2 feat, giving me Hunter's Quarry for 2 turns and 1 additional skill (probably Perception), and Savage Growl for my Lvl. 2 Utility power, which gives me a bonus 1d8 to damage for a turn (or 2, if I plan it right). I
really
want to get a Fullblade, but limited resources in the game world prevent me from doing that... XP

Or, I might take Tiger's Leap, a dead useful Athletics utility...

I'll either take Master of the Fist (MC Monk) to get ki-focus implement, but that relies on getting a transcendent ki-focus at some point
Either that or just get Agile form.
utility power will be Verdant Bounty I imagine.

It gives a lot of options..And if you want Hex Blades to be useful you pretty much have to multiclass so you can grab certain feats.

I recall how Rob complained about the multi-classing in 4E differing from previous editions, but Multi-Classind
did
work before the "balancing" errata changes; looking at Warrior of the Wild as an example: the printed rule for the feat in the PHB gives a character the Ranger Hunter's Quarry class feature as an encounter power, allowing for the PC to continually inflict extra damage on one creature until it died; the errata put a timer if 2 turns on it, which frankly, IMO, nerfed the power.

I'm toying with either Opportunity Knocks, which gives me CA whenever a creature misses me with an opportunity attack, or Cunning Stalker which gives me CA whenever I'm the only creature adjacent to an enemy.

Not sure which one will be more useful in the long run. I'm leaning towards my first idea, which is Opportunity Knocks.

What is the next lvl we get a feat? I was thinking of taking Lethal Hunter to get some more damage out of my quarry power.

If you're starting out with a level 2 character, then the next one would be at 4... if you're starting out with a level 1 character, then the next one would be at 2. Feats are even numbered levels up to level 10, then Paragon tier makes things more complicated.

Interesting enough I'm finding it harder to find a "voice" for Shadow then Ruby. Of course Ruby doesn't talk but still. It will be fun to see how this plays out.

So I have some mechanics questions, does brutal apply to my damage from hunters quarry? What exactly does the half level bonus apply to.

Nope on the quarry, brutal will apply to any attacks with the weapon keyword or implement if you can use it as an implement.
The 1/2 lvl bonus applies to stacks of things. I don't have a list though.
