But which are your favorite Bat movies?
I was 10 when Batman came out, and for YEARS it was an all time favorite movie of mine. But with the Nolan era wrapping up it's hard to compare it to his movies. Batman Begins is damn near perfect. Dark Knight has Ledgers performance, which trumps anything in Begins, but I still prefer the origin tale.

I still hold Batman high up there on my all-time list of great movies, but Batman Begins really felt just so right.  And unlike the original movie series, Nolan's films have felt pretty decent consistently.  Sure, I have problems with Dark Knight, but I still enjoyed it head and shoulders above anything that came after the 1989 Batman movie.

I'll be watching Nolan's Batman movies as well as an assortment of animated Batman movies (including one of my personal favorites, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker) this week with my goddaughter and her friends while we wait for this one to come out.

I too love Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker, but holiday obligations kept me from getting it watched in time. It´s a hard life Smiley  Wanted to watch the new one Doom too. Any one seen it?

The Dark Knight Rises. My opinion has already proven controversial amongst my friends. They are LOVING it, claiming it's, like, The Best Movie Ever. I disagree. I don't think it's even the best Batman movie ever. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, it is a bit long. It is a little light on action. The dialogue is a bit Meh in places. On the plus side, Bane is awesome, as is Catwoman. Nolan makes yet another awesome looking movie. And the ending is pretty darn cool.

So...I saw Ted, and somehow convinced Stephen to take my opinion on the movie seriously. And as such, my review for it is up on the Major Spoilers site Smiley
Hopefully this will be just the first of many.

Greetings All. Been a while. I'm back now, with a question: What are your favorite "comic-book" movies? There are SO MANY to choose from, ranging from American Splendor to Avengers. As it stands, Avengers is in the lead with Batman Begins in second and Iron Man in third. Do you agree with that? There are a tonne of flicks getting love too.

I would actually agree with that list. While Batman Begins set the bar for serious comic book adaptations, The Avengers wins out for box office draw and sheer enjoyment. Iron Man is a great, fun film as well.

Other comic book movies, while they may be enjoyable, are probably not in that league. The exception may be the rest of Nolan's Batman trilogy.

I did enjoy the Watchmen very much though, finding it a very faithful comic book adaptation and a departure from the feel of most comic book films. That is the only movie that comes to mind that may rate in the Top 3.

I enjoyed V For Vendetta a great deal. I have not read the source material though and I hear there are some departures.

As it stands Watchmen has 4 votes. I agree that it is a very faithful adaptation, and is the best Watchmen movie we could have hoped for.

V only has two votes. I haven't read the book either, but it is on my list of "Must Read" books to read.

So, Warm Bodies is actually pretty good. I know, I was surprised too. Not the best zombie movie ever, but it is fun.

And with Valentines day around the corner, I'm wondering what peoples favorite zombie movies are?

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cat-Halo-Movies/252936541426409

Maybe I should explain. Traditionally, my wife and I avoid Valentines, primarily because she HATES it, with a capitol HATES! We started seeing each other a couple days before V-Day (today, actually. 5yrs ago today), and she decided that on V-Day we would watch both the 28 Units Of Time Later movies...and so began a tradition. So, when V-Day comes around, we have a Z-Day. That is why I wonder...

What are your favorite zombie movies? Click the link above, if you fancy, to cast your vote. You can also read my thoughts on Warm Bodies, and Big Trouble In Little China while you're there Smiley
