It looks like the head fairy is expecting something for a few moments she is about to say something when she stops and looks up.  Floating down from above is a familiar blue spark.  Py is back.

All eyes are on her as she lands on Wills shoulder, she looks at the scene in awe and confusion.

The lead fairy speaks at last, "A fine gift to give.  Welcome to my kingdom."

You are led to the centre of the clearing and soon fairies as bringing you sweet fruits and nuts, offering the small portions to you with obvious glee.

The queen waves Py over gently and puts a small wreathe of petals over her head.  Now that they are side by side you can see definite differences in their appearance.  Pys facial features are more angular then these fairies and she is slightly smaller.  These fairies also do not give off the glow that Py does.

They seem to communicate for a moment in some unknown fashion before Py flies back over with a panicked look on her face.  She whispers to her friend something inaudible to the others.  It seem's that the fairies think that you offered Py to them as a gift and the queen wants to keep her as her daughter.

Rikkon looks concerned, and a little confused, but the confusion soon fades away as he remembers something from before. "Py does not seem very happy... wait a second, I think the Mother thinks we offered them Py as another of these 'gifts' the Fae are so fond of. This could be a problem... remember how possessive the other fairy was with the song she was given."

Arthelian steps forward smiling, he gives a proper sweeping bow to the mother,

"Mother I am afraid Py is not a gift that can be given. She is a free being, she does not belong to us but is one of our companions. To give  her away would be claiming that we own her. To do that would be like clipping her wings, she would have no freedom...Would you wish for us to do that to our friend? Could you imagine what it would be like to be force to depart from your friends, your family? To be made to stay some place. Can you imagine a world where you could not fly? Could not float through the trees and smell the flowers as the sun blooms across the sky? We cannot offer you Py... But we can offer you friendship, and that is a gift that should be treasured. People without connections are like plants without roots, they may be proud and beautiful but without the nourishment of unification and friendship they slowly wither. We want to bridge the gap between our differences, and whether it be an entwining of roots or the barest touch of petals we wish to know your people. I am afraid that we do not have many gifts, but this we do offer with sincerity."

She smiles at the group pleasantly, "That may be so but I have accepted already.  She is my daughter now.  Perhaps your intended gift should have been more obvious, hmmm."  She pauses for a second.  "Be happy though, as my child she is part of our family and royalty no less.  Come there is much to share.  We have never met outsiders before.  We are very interested in what you have to say.  Tell me about your world."

...much discussion later...

"It seems our people have done well to stay within the trees.  Your world sounds dangerous and trying.  Take praise though, we will welcome you as neighbours.  You cannot live within the trees.  This is our world and we try to keep the balance.  You people are simply too big to not do damage to our world.  There is enough food and game to share if you know how to look.  The trees and plants are what we worry for though.  You must treat these things with utter respect for our people to live harmoniously."

...some more discussion later...

"The beasts you have been told about are evil creatures.  They come from beyond like you but we try to drive them out whenever they try enter the forrest.  They do not respect it.  We have ways to make them pay though." She says with an utterly evil grin.
"Every so often they will try enter the wood line so they must have a settlement somewhere on the outside like your people."

...even more discussion later...

"Yes I do believe that is acceptable.  Our best scouts will travel with you on your mission, and some of you can stay here and share, and let us meet with your other people.  Py can lead the scouts and so she need not be separated from you.  Let us celebrate with some nectar wine...although our cups will be like thimbles to you." she giggles childishly for the first time that you've seen.

OOC: This is where the players we have lost will have their characters moved out of the story.  They are not ambassadors for the fairies.
OOC: To replace the roles they played the fairy scouts will give you additional options in battle.

Please RP any Questions or Comments for the fairy queen.

Eil quietly looks around at everyone and then to Py.

"I suppose you have become more of an ambassador for our people than us my friend. I will truly miss you if this mother demands it but who am I to take you with me if this is something you want."

Py can lead the scouts and so she need not be separated from you.

Py flutters around you trying to explain she will not be leaving you.  Py will lead the scouts coming with your group.  The three fairies you originally met.

Eil looks to his companion.

"I understand Py but you must see with that responsibility we won't always have the time we once did. Do not misunderstand I am very happy for you. Such an honor it must be."

Rikkon goes over to Eil and, without saying a word, puts a hand on his shoulder.

The day continues with talks of your cultures and such and lasts until late that night.  They provide you with a wealth of useful information including tricks on finding food in the forrest unfortunately they are small enough to survive on the dew that collects so they need no large sources of water.  They inform you that there are even creatures that come out at night that sound like they would make good game.

The two biggest points of interest that come up is the beasts/monsters that enter the forrest from the outside that you've heard of before and something that sounds like a ruin of temple that they don't venture into deep in the forrest.

Feel free to ask them questions but you need to decide which lead to pursue.

OOC: Sorry i've been silent lately, i've been on holiday.

I'm thinkin' that the temple will be still there if'n we come back to it, but these beasts be a problem that might be impactin' us all.
Can ya be describin' anything more about the beasts? Be they bigger than us? Hairy? Sharp of tooth? Be they usin' weapons like us?

"Yes... although the nature of this temple you mention does intrigue me, it would seem to be more of a pressing concern."

The queen defers to the scouts.  The flutter around you talking over each other. "They are big like you, no bigger, no small, no same, yeah same.  They have more hair then you...except you...and its not red...its brown and grey.  Its on there faces too, and hands and feets.  The do have sharp teeth yes, and long noses, and smelly breath.  They have weapons like you too."

"what were you able to discern about their intelligence? Did they work together, co-ordinating their attacks like a pack might, or mostly act on their own? Did they seem to be talking to each other?  Oh, and did they have tails? your description of them makes them seem like what we would call giant rats."

All the fairies around you burst out in laughter.

"They're not rats, no brains. They have tails though."
