Into the Grass

The creature spots you spotting it and moves swiftly into the long grass.

OOC: I won initiative and rolled an excellent stealth roll to hide after the move.

If a perception check is a standard action then shadow will do that instead of a the defensive action.

Who Let the Dogs Out

The first one comes out of the grass with enormous ferocity, it charges into Shadow swinging a bone axe hard.  Hit: 10 Dmg + Immobilised Save Ends.

The next appears out of the grass right next to that one but it swings high, confused why it's axe hits nothing but air.  Miss.

The two javelins that follow the melee attacks, targeting Shadow, seem to come from nowhere but you see one of the creatures moving in the grass.  Green: Hit: 14 Dmg | Purple: Hit: 17 Dmg

From the attack you can tell that they work best as a team and the damage they are doing is highly increased by their pack tactics.

Purple also succeeds on his stealth check to hide from everyone but Rikkon.

OOC: Now that's an unfortunate way to start for Shadow.

Oh i completely forgot about the fairies.  I was going to have them on the map but i've changed my mind.  Basically the group has 3 uses of the fairies per encounter.  At any time you can use 1 (and only 1 per turn) as a minor to use a healing surge + 1d6.

I was going to do something about damage with them but we'll just leave them as healers for now.

well shadow is down but at least we now know where everyone is.  Shadow is minus 6.  I will have Ruby attack the blue one.  i have some mechanical questions, can ruby attack with my attacks, can she add my hunters quarry into her attacks.

as a minor action lets hunters quarry the blue guy.
a move action to move her to 8-P
and a standard to attack with twin strike, or just a her melee attack if not.

Roll ID: 4227
Ruby attack 1
You rolled 1d20+5: 18 | [ 13 ] 13+5
19-May-12 09:55 AM

Roll ID: 4228
Ruby attack 2
You rolled 1d20+5: 13 | [ 8 ] 8+5
19-May-12 09:56 AM

Roll ID: 4229
Ruby damage 1
You rolled 1d6+4: 8 | [ 4 ] 4+4
19-May-12 09:59 AM

Roll ID: 4230
Ruby damage 2
You rolled 1d6+4: 8 | [ 4 ] 4+4
19-May-12 10:01 AM

and the hunters quarry damage

Roll ID: 4231
hunters quarry damage
You rolled 1d6: 5 | [ 5 ] 5
19-May-12 10:02 AM

Next turn i will use a fairy to heal Shadow.

{It's nice to be back Cheesy!
Rygar comes out from the brush starting at M13, between Eil and Rikkon, weapon drawn.}

Rygar rushes out from the forest, brandishing his greatsword as he growls angrily. Between outrunning giant insects, dealing with temperamental fairies, and meeting the new guy, he was just ready to finally fight something. Upon seeing the halfling Shadow fall from the combined assualt, Rygar lets out a feral growl, swiping his hand along the edge of his greatsword. The ruby gem in the pommel glows furiously as Rygar rushes the dog-men. With the red dog-man in front, he rears his head back and spews forth a blast of caustic acid.

{Rygar turn.
Minor Action: Blood Fury Greatsword Encounter power- I am considered bloodied until the end of my next turn.
Dragonborn Fury & Frenzy Activate! I gain a +1 to attack rolls and a +2 to damage rolls!
Move Action: Move 5 from M13 to O10, not provoking opportunity attacks
Minor Action: Dragon Breath against Red Dog-Man and Blue Dog-Man, not targeting Ruby.

Quote from: Dragon Breath against Red and Blue Dog-Men (Strength +2 vs. Refllex): rolled 1d20+8: 18, rolled 1d6+4: 9
Reference: Dragon Breath against Red and Blue Dog-Men (Strength +2 vs. Refllex)
 You rolled 1d20+8: 18 | [ 10 ] 10+8
You rolled 1d6+4: 9 | [ 5 ] 5+4
ACTION POINT!
Standard Action: Vault the Fallen against Red Dog-Man, then shift 3 from O10->P11->Q10->Q9, Vault the Fallen against Blue Dog-Man.

Quote from: Vault the Fallen against Red Dog-Man (Strength vs. AC): rolled 1d20+10: 18, rolled 1d10: 8, rolled 1d6+7: 9
Reference: Vault the Fallen against Red Dog-Man (Strength vs. AC)
 You rolled 1d20+10: 18 | [ 8 ] 8+10
You rolled 1d10: 8 | [ 8 ] 8
You rolled 1d6+7: 9 | [ 2 ] 2+7

Quote from: Vault the Fallen against Blue Dog-Man (Strength vs. AC): rolled 1d20+10: 24, rolled 1d10: 3, rolled 1d6+7: 10
Reference: Vault the Fallen against Blue Dog-Man (Strength vs. AC)
 You rolled 1d20+10: 24 | [ 14 ] 14+10
You rolled 1d10: 3 | [ 3 ] 3
You rolled 1d6+7: 10 | [ 3 ] 3+7

So 18 vs. Reflex against both for 9 dmg.; 18 vs. AC against Red for 17 dmg. & 24 vs. AC against Blue for 13 dmg.}

After spewing forth his Acid Breath, a surge of energy channels through Rygar as he slashes at his immediate foe and then rapidly maneuvers behind the blueish dog-man and brings his greatsword down with a great cleave.

{Rikkon! You now have Combat Advantage opportunity against Red Dog-Man!}

{In that case, Let's Rogue it up!}

RIKKON TURN!

Rikkon advances on the nearest dog-creature quickly, drawing Secretkeeper in one fluid motion.  When near enough, Rikkon feints to one side of the beast, then spins and thrusts his rapier at his target.

Move Action: Rikkon moves 4 squares: S, S, SW, SW.
Minor Action: draw Secretkeeper
Standard Action: Sly Flourish on Red Dog-Man
~ Attack Roll: 1d20 (Cool+8=16 vs AC (Combat Advantage)
~ Damage Roll: 1d8 (5)+7=12, 2d6=8 (+Sneak Attack, 20 Total Damage)

Free Action: Action Point! {assuming I have one.}

>>> ON A MISS...
Standard Action: Sly Flourish on Red Dog-Man
~ Attack Roll: 1d20 (2)+8=10 vs AC {Grrr.}
>>> ON A HIT...
Standard Action: Ardent Strike on Blue Dog-Man
~ Attack Roll: 1d20 (9)+8=17 vs AC
~ Damage Roll: 1d8 (4)+4=8, Blue Dog-Man is Marked until the end of my next turn.

When the creature looks down at the wound left by Rikkon's Blade, Rikkon spins his blade around in his hand and stabs him again with a vicious downward thrust.  The Dwarf then turns to the Dog Man facing his ally and raises his hand as a shaft of light appears from above the creature, the harsh light leaving the mark of Avadra on the beast's forehead.

Briccys strips along blade of grass from its stem and folds it in his hands, infusing it with energy and casting it forth; a flaming hawk swoops towards the green dog-man, raking him with its talons before flying up and hovering over his head in anticipation of further action.

{Standard Action: Fire Hawk attack: 8 vs Reflex

If Green foe does anything that can induce an opp attack before my next turn I get to have another go at him.

Move action: N4 to N9 }

Quote from: Briccys - Fire Hawk vs Green dog-man: rolled 1d20+7: 8, rolled 1d8+6: 8
Reference: Briccys - Fire Hawk vs Green dog-man
You rolled 1d20+7: 8 | [ 1 ] 1+7
You rolled 1d8+6: 8 | [ 2 ] 2+6
