Floating Lands | Ch 1 - A New Begining

[Strifeter]

Eil looks puzzled and begins to try to make sense of things.

I assure you my intent and the intent of my people is not to break things. That is why we sent a very small group here. Yes we come from where your world ends and mine begins but these beasts you speak of. Do you mean to tell me that they were not always here. Was it those creatures that attacked us before?

[Tondi-]

"No, the beasts come from outside of the world like you.  They are large like you but smell much much worst.  How many of you live outside the world? ".

Rikkon speaks up, his mind having wandered after his companions attempts at parley succeeded where his had failed. "I'm afraid our abilities are do not include the ability to shrink. But now that I think about it, you called me Short One before... am I too big as well? As for our numbers, we come from a settlement that is relatively small in numbers, as what we call your island - what you call 'the world' is larger than the one we come from. We, like you are a scouting party for our people living there."

I'm thinkin' I like being big in any case!

Briccys grins and sits on the floor by the fey visitors

Does yer world end where the tall grasses be startin'? Our home is a ways away from there even, we be lookin' for a new place to call our own and our Elders have been askin' us to look for supplies and such.
What be bein' the Beasts in any case? Be yer meanin' them flappy moth things that attacked us? or sommat else?

[Tondi-]

The green one calls out, "too fat, too fat" and they all giggle with glee, tumbling around in the air.

"The sea of grass is outside the world, we don't go out there, the world just ends past there doesn't it?  The beasts are ugly evil things, they take from the world and hurt her.  We fight them sometimes but they are big like you.  But furrier and stinkier.  They come from the nothingness outside the world...like you.  How did you do that?"

Rikkon laughs. "Oh, I may be too big, but I assure you, there's more fat beneath your clothing than mine. Which these beasts you mention are soon to find out as well."

[sliksham]

We come from beyond the grass, strange as it may sound to yerselves, but we don't know of these Beasts ya mention. I'm beleivin' life be a balance that needs keepin', if these beasts are destroyin' stuff then that's not somethin' that I'll be lettin' em do for long if I can help it!

[Tondi-]

They buzz around each other chattering so fast you can't make out the conversation for a moment then Emba flys close again.

"Since we are now friends we think you should meet the mothers, come along then."

All three start heading deeper into the forrest.

Briccys hastily moves about,packing up what little 'camp' we had started to assemble.

Well mates, I'm hopin' this at least ends in some food and sleep

Rikkon rolls his eyes at Briccys and whispers to him. "Oh, you are expecting the Mothers to tuck you in for the night?" Then turns to the fae and says "lead the way, friends. I am eager to learn more about your culture. There is much we can learn from each other."

[sliksham]

Briccys chuckles.
No mate, but I'm expectin' them not to try to put a big stinger in me arse at least!

[Tondi-]

An hour of trying to keep up with them later, you find yourself in a very dense part of the Forrest, just ahead is an opening that the fairies have stopped in.  As you walk in you see that small houses have been crafted in the branches and trunks above.  The air is abuzz with activity as fairies of all sorts of colors wizz around.  Your soon assaulted by their curious poking and prodding.  It all stops when a more Calm looking and older fairy floats down.  The fairies let her pass, curtsying in mid air out of respect.  She stops a just in front of the group.

Briccys extends his hand in greeting, pausing only to check that it isn't dirty, wiping it on his robe, beforehand.
'ow do boss lady fairy

Will looks around doing wondering when Py will return to him.

Upon hearing Briccys call the fae 'boss lady fairy', he closes his eyes for a long moment and then regains his composure, waiting to see how the situation will develop.
