Bards can be ridiculous in 4E, due to their inherent ability to multi-class more than once; a Bard could qualify for EVERY power source before Paragon tier, ESPECIALLY Human Bards.

I believe it is three plus you get an extra trained skill in one bard skill and 1 fighter skill as per the hybrid section.

I messed around more on the DDI Character Builder. It looks like you can use any skill available to a bard or fighter. Aka take a look at my earlier post. But you only get +4 for being trained in skill from either class.

Right, it's still +5 to trained skills, but Bards lose that +1 from Jack of All Trades (I think that's what it's called...)

You have to get in quick though if you not ready in the next day or so we'll have moved on.  You can still play I'll just have to write you in a little different.

This goes for anyone who wants to play.

All character should be approved before posting in the game thread though I guess.

I would like to jump in if I could, I have a couple of issues that have to be resolved.  I am a truck driver so I would be playing on my iPhone in my free time.  I don't have any books so I would be dependent on somebody else for character creation.  I would like to play a beast master ranger as a halfling if someone could tell me the rules on animal companions.  I was thinking it would be awesome if I could pick a giant eagle as my companion and then use it as a mount.  I don't know if this is do able though.  Otherwise the ranger would be a crafter who specializes in weapons made from the environment.  Like he could have pulled the venom sac from that spider to be used later as a poisen or maybe givin it to a healer for an anti venom.

Don't know if the giant eagle scenario is possible at lvl 1 but it might be something you can strive to. I will take a look at the build and give you some more info.
