So, I figured out what was in the package and some details surrounding that. One of the PCs almost died this weekend from the packaged poison (should have gone with the poisoned ale instead? heh) and was saved by a miracle.

Lutharian, how's your game plot shaping up so far?

Excellent. Threw a curve ball at them with one of the pcs fathers being a demon in disguise...sorta. They will find out later that it was a demon who was summoned using the fathers body as a catalyst. Yay mystery. Cheesy

Cool. So is the demon inhabiting the father's body then? Can it be exorcised? Why is it inhabiting that particular body? What is its goal?

Well it's goal was to assassinate the kings.  The kings of the 'Prime' and 'Fey' were at the peace keep discussing how to destroy the uprising demons. The party was there. Two of them were actually chasing the demon from the town where he was summoned.  He transformed into Narim's father to try and hide, but our wizard popped a 31 arcana check versuses the demons 29 bluff. (party is level 1). I had figured they wouldn't beat that high of a bluff. Meh. Lucky dice roll. Lol. So the wizard caught on to his disguise and the demon attacked, knocked out the ranger and beat on the battle mind. But in the end he died. And that's where we ended.

The necromancer that summoned the demon is going to be the recurring villain. Unsure of its name yet.

Skippy the Necromancer? Too creepy?

So is it inhabiting Narim's father's body or was it just posing at him?

It was inhabiting his body. It's dead now.  But for some reason the demons feet were his actual feet not humans until it reached the keep. I think he ran faster on his own feet.

Possible names for a Drow necromancer lieutenant:

Dauhl (pronounced like "Dowl") Shadowyn

The last name is pronounced fluidly. Not like "Shadow-Win" but "ShaDoOne" said quickly, if that makes sense.

Anyway, just the first name that came to mind. Open to brainstorming or feedback.

I was pronouncing it in my head as Shadow-in. ShaDoOne is cool though at tad more complex. And my players are already bad at pronouncing fantasy names.  Roll Eyes

Well, if you say it enough they will pick it up. I liked that it was like "Shadow" but not quite that obvious because of the pronunciation. This then lent toward a Drow accent as opposed to how we silly humans would say it.

You could even make it a thing. Have some humans mispronounce it so the Drow NPC can react with aggravated disdain before correcting them.   Smiley

Brilliant. Fits the personality of a cranky lieutenant perfectly.

Flash backs to Full Metal Jacket: Do I look the weatherman to you?

Hehe. I need to watch that movie again. And there I go off topic.

Now, do you..when voicing your NPCs do you do accents? I royally suck at accents.

Ouch!

Searching "Drow Names" brings up one of the ugliest websites I have ever seen, however.

http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/vortexshadow/drownames.html

I didn't think canines wrote webpages. Just saying.
