I've noticed an increase in folks selling off their collections. I am sure part of this has to do with the economy. My questions are:

    1. As a reader and collector are you buying 1980's and '90's comics, and,

    2. What are your thoughts on digital content vs. hard copies?

Just curious and wonder what the community thinks. Thanks.

No I'm not buying 80s or 90s books, just new releases for the most part.

In the context of the question, I think digital is the way to go if a reader wants to get his hands on issues from the 80s or 90s. I dislike digital comics for new release issues because, IMHO, they harm retailers.

My collections are totally incomplete and selling individual issues of 90s X-Men would be pretty pointless

I buy 80's and 90's comics when they are in the big "random comics" bundles for dirt cheap.  I can't afford to collect specific issues that are selling individually for more than the current cover price of a comic.

Any back issues I get these days tend to be digital and on sale for $0.99.

Can't say I've focused on the 80's or 90's.
