The problem is, most movie audiences probably don't know how many of the movies they are seeing are actually adaptations of comics.  Sure the big ones are obvious, but there are more out there that are not so.

a friend of mine didn't know Wanted was from a comic book. on the other hand, another friend thought Hancock thought it was from a comic book.

i was beginning to get tired of the comic book movie, until this summer. because before there was a LOT of crap. in fact, most of them were. now i won't go into details, because i know a couple of movies that i thought sucked and a lot of people liked them, but we can all agree on movies like Elektra and LOEG.

so, keep it up with the good stuff, put the right people on the making of the movies and we're all good

I don't go see a lot of movies in the theater, so this summer has been hard on me.  I want to see so many movies, but I have to budget my money b/c I can't afford to keep buying comics and spending $20 per person to go see a movie.  If they would spread them out a little more I would be able to see more in the theater.  Grin  But, I don't want them to stop making them.  And keep making them like Ironman and The Dark Knight.   Grin

I think this is definitely an issue,
but mostly for the fact that it will wear out the industry's and the consumer's tolerance of the genre.
And then we'll have a draught of superhero flicks.
Everything in moderation!
