"We are being watched button or no button and Mal is aware of this. Have we really become so paranoid to worry so over a button. I mean, he's been dragged God's knows where I'm surprised more than just a button is missing from him. Maybe a crow picked it off because it was shiny. Who knows. I think we have too much to do right now than worry over a button."

I then start to walk out the way we came, frustrated that I could not do more for Maldomkin.

E'en if'n folks be knowin' where Maldomkin be, they still be needin' to be gettin' to 'im. We can speak to others at Union Point 'bout the missin' button."

Gathering yourselves and making certain Faerun is secure on the broad back of the loyal ice bear, you all begin your journey back across the pink-white knolls of Maldomkin's holding. The Hare all watch you with great interest, their eyes and ears trained on you.

Anbar, you are aware of the sensory net that binds them together. In your arms, Betti relays every sensation that reaches her.

Soon enough you come to the Labyrinth. It has closed again after Liv's departure.

The millions of tortured souls cry out at your approach, reaching for you through the thin veneer of the Labyrinth wall. The waves of desolation and despair that flow over you all is palpable, sapping your will and destroying hope.

Donovan looks chagrined.

"Right. Let's use Maldomkin's own front door to get home. It's a lot safer and faster than the Labyrinth and the Devour."

"I was just going to suggest that."

I turn to the souls once again, relaying to them that I will be back for them one day, just have hope.

In all the universe, you may be the only hope these wretched souls have. They press their twisted faces firmly against the thin Labyrinth wall, pleading for you to return.

But you unfortunately know the time has not come to be able to free them. "Soon," you tell yourself as you use the Totem of Damali on the front door of Maldomkin's paper house.

The doorway becomes one of mist as you all cross the threshold. Laukordia drops away from you as you return to the free-standing portal of Master Halnaerm in the Alabaster Tower.

Your home of Union Point will be a welcome sight after the hell you leave behind.
