I was a fan of the Conway/Milgrom version of Firestorm long ago, and was very interested in what Gail Simone would say with the character in the New 52.

Anyone else read?

Have to say that, even though I had high hopes, I wasn't disappointed.

I mean, I know she has half of the writing cred, I just want to know if the book was more GS or more EVS Wink

Thought he was just doing the artwork, honestly.

The story seems to have Simone-like touches. There's a home invasion a la Batgirl (although it's a bit more graphic than I remember her being), and Cliff Carmichael is a character (which isn't necessarily a surprise, given that he was part of the original Firestorm, but he appears in a way that's much more similar to the way he was when he had a significant impact on Barbara Gordon's life).

Don't know. I know I liked it. Commented in Matthew's review post.
