No.  It is a mean spirited free for all, where if someone didn't walk away with a serious injury at the end of recess, you weren't doing it right.  No rules, no referee, and as long as the teacher was preoccupied with other matters, death was always waiting in the wings to snatch up a young lad at the prime of his life.

My list is probably huge, so I'll have to stick with the games that I've spent way too many hours playing or games that had great replay value to me.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Final Fantasy VI, VII, and X
Tecmo Super Bowl
Dragon Age
Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance
ICO
Super Mario World
World of Warcraft
Diablo II
Warcraft III
007: Goldeneye
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I know there are plenty more, but these are the ones I could remember that I've played over and over and probably had multiple play sessions lasting more than 8 hours.

I'm a big fan of RPG so my list would be:

1. Dragon Quest & Dragon Quest Monster.
2. Final Fantasy
3. Tropico (PC)
4. X-Com 1 and 2. Don't bother with newer version hehe.
5. Heroes of Might and Magic

Actually many games still in my mind but these are my top favorite as far as I can think.

Kill the guy with the football
Isn't that just Football?

I think he is refering to a game I've heard called 'smear the queer.' A game where everyone goes after whoever has the ball and that person tries to keep it as long as possible, kinda like oddball in Halo. I think I still have temporrarely brain damage from that lwone.

As for me,

Morrowind, I doubt I will ever spend as many hours in any other game.

Zelda Orcarina/ Majoras Mask

Shadow of the Collossus

Battle for Middle Earth, I ended up getting really competitive in this one

Suikoden 2, I like to explore and build and this one has both I even own a copy without a system to run it

Portal, weeeeeeee

Mine would be Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for the old game boy/game boy color.  I have sunk days worth of hours into that game exploring the island, and still haven't found all of the heart pieces yet.

Mine would have to be narrowed down to the following;

Half Life 2 (any version)
Star Wars Galaxies - wasted far to much of my life into that sandbox, shame its being closed down.
Assassins Creed 2
Sabre Wulf
Uncharted
Commando
God of War series
Medieval Total War
and finally Peggle, which is my guilt pleasure.

Love the *craft games and Trek on your list. Have you ever played Star Trek Armada? Number 2 is much better but its a simple RTS with Trek Universe ships and bases. Very awesome.

Also love those text adventures on your list

Java versions of those here. Just sharing. Leather Goddesses of Phobos FTW!! It was Hot Coffee before Hot Coffee was cool Smiley

I'll add the *Quest games from back in the PC day. Space Quest, King's Quest, Police Quest (my fav), even Leisure Suit Larry and the Land of the Lounge Lizards deserves a mention.

Armada came out right when I went through a very dry period of gaming (aka, I had no money).

I remember staring at it, but I never picked it up. Did, however, wind up picking up some God awful Trek game later on that was made by a company that'd obviously never heard of the franchise. Every race was basically the same and the goal was to ruthlessly conquer the galaxy regardless of which side you were on...even the Federation.

Ah, Leisure Suit Larry. It's funny. I remember a time when it seemed like every game I genuinely liked was under the Sierra On-line banner, may it rest in peace.

And remember Gaumer, beware those grues.

I would have to add Portal 2 to my list.  Great puzzle game and the co-op mode helps to extend the fun (or if your like my friend the boredom Wink).
