Anybody else get this game?

I'm on Act 2 and I love it so far. Even dabbled in multiplayer and found it quite a bit better than the previous entries.

Gears is the sort of game I can really get into. Direct sequels that give you time to really relate with the characters, and chainsaws on guns (ala Warhammer) is freaking awesome!

But, no, I haven't played 3, nor do I own 1 or 2 or even a next gen console (save Wii). But I hope to jump in early next year.
