The Count of Monte Cristo is a great book.  The revenge and comeuppance at the end has never been truely matched.  Sleepers did a better job of emulating the book than the Jim Cavezial movie did. The Count of Monte Cristo Movie is unwatchable if you consider that it is supposed to be based upon the book.  If you consider it as a movie with the name, then it is fair at best.
