Hey all,

Just wanted to get other opinions about the Earth-X series. I just finished it and really liked the different take on the characters. I know it's a typical "other earth" story, but I loved how the story played out.

I know its an older series-but anyone have any memories or such about it? I don't have many comic book folks around here to geek out with when it comes to these sorts of discussions.

I honestly enjoyed it. The sequels not so much.

I liked Earth X, was kind of interested in the sequels but they don't look that good. I loved X-51, the machine man in Earth X, and for being what it was, it was a good solid alternate earth read.

earth X was pretty good, but went downhill with the full series.

Thanks for the reply guys (and ladies if you may be those).

I think I was most impressed with the over-arching explanation about the celestials and why there were so many superhumans on earth. Seeing Uatu as a mostly clueless (and somewhat sinister) pawn was a nice change as well. I also loved the alternate logic used for much of the Marvel universe (like Reed and Capt A etc). It was a fun read all around.

I haven't read the sequels, Paradise-X I believe, but I'll look around and see what next they do with the story next; it looks like Mar-vel has some sort of agenda which isn't clear yet.

Happy Reading!!

I really enjoyed the Earth X. It showed off some great alternate versions of some classic marvel characters. I would have loved to see what actually happened to some of my favorites though (Gambit and Rogue got a 1 line mention, cmon).  It was a really good alternate Earth story.

I enjoyed all the sequels, but they really started to get convoluted by the end.

The writer sketched out some marvelous characters spider-man, Captain America, etc through this...
