In honor of the day, and I don't think its a bad topic overall at that.

Jor-El, Corsair, Uncle Ben, Reed Richards, even Wolverine, Thomas Wayne, Alfred maybe...

My fav is probably Mole-Man...or Jack Murdock maybe.

Either way, Happy dad's day to you dads.

Red Foreman from That 70s Show is probably my all time TV Dad, because, like my own dad, he was always threatening to kick his kids' asses.  Kids need that. Al Bundy, and Howard Cunningham from Happy Days were also really awesome in their own ways.

Superhero/Comic dads are usually absentee, dead or otherwise not great in the 'dad' sense.  Adoptive fathers and father figures like Alfred Pennyworth seem more common in comics.  Pa Kent was obviously a pretty good dad, what with raising the greatest hero on earth.  Obi Wan Kenobi fits in this mold as well.

Arthur Weasley from the Harry Potter books was a great dad to his own kids and a pretty good surrogate father for Harry (far better than Dumbledore).

I totally agree with both of those.  Red was rough around the edges, but he did seem to care about his kids and then some (like treating Hyde like he was his own son).  He reminds me a bit of my uncle, he always talked like that but when it came down to it he was like a dog with a loud bark but didn't bite unless you pushed him into it.

Mr. Weasley was simply awesome.  A little eccentric, but I think any dad that works to support a family like his and makes sure they at least have what they NEED deserves a little indulgence once in a while.

Happy Father's Day to any dads out there.
