http://www.ugo.com/tv/2011-tv-shows

Pretty good article about some tv shows coming out later this year. Figured it was a good reference to discuss what we are looking forward to.

Falling Skies certainly has my attention but Terra Nova, if it can stay away from being too cheesy with the family crap a la No Ordinary Family, looks to be a solid hit in my book even before seeing a single episode.

Nice link, but another link that that one connects to is even more interesting.

Alcatraz looks interesting at least as a premise.  I love Whitney Cummings, but really don't think she needs a tv series, same goes for Chelsea Handler except a little less love.  And while I love Zooey, New Girl looks like stuff we've seen before.

Falling Skies looks like something I might like, but could also just bore me to death on certain episodes.  Same goes for Terra Nova.

Despite my initial skepticism I will provably give all of these a chance in one way or another, but Burn Notice and Psych will still prevail on my radar.

Clicked on the link and immediately got a commercial for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night.

Now, the ad looked interesting, but what caught me was the tag line.

"Based on one of the world's most popular comic book series."

Um...what? I mean, I'm used to spurious claims like this, but usually they're for something I've at least HEARD of...

I know exactly what you mean.  I had similar thoughts when I'd first heard of the movie, and I may not be as comic knowledgeable as I used to but I do try to keep up to date on what is "popular", yet I'd never heard of the comic before.  Ever.

God I hope not.  I think they are making a series out of Powers and I know Syfy started their own "super hero" show, but I'm pretty sure Heroes is dead and gone.  Along with poor Hayden Panettiere's future.

I heard about the Powers show too. The T-Mobile chick in the pink clothes and nice sticks is supposed to be in it.

Falling Skies wrapped up season 1 and it was pretty cool. Not glorious but not terrible.

Half the other shows in the OP haven't premiered yet.

Once Upon a Time has me interested a bit. Terra Nova still tops my list tho. It'll prolly blow Smiley

I'm hoping both do well, but I think Terra Nova will probably get shoved off by FOX execs like just about every other sci-fi related series FOX plays.

I only found out about Once Upon a Time thanks to looking up news about Stargate Universe since Robert Carlyle is in it, but once I saw some of the info and the images of characters I thought it looked very interesting.

I hope I actually remember to catch Terra Nova.  My viewing habits have gone out of whack with the new shows starting, some shows ending (like the season finale of Eureka this past Monday), schedule changes and so on.
