I turn into an angel and walk up within inches of Montford, "I wanted some advice on what exactly I could do now that I've discovered my true self."

Landru replies, "I was going to use the Hallow scroll on the illusory Temple of Dalophor. But I hadn't decided that was the best use and then things went a bit crazy."

"I still have the scroll. As for the rest, we'll have to see what we have that might be of use."

SaNd replies to you, Bedlor, using her native tongue because she wishes too and not caring quite so much for political pleasantries.

"For myself, I be liking to move from this place very much. The hollows are not places for the airbreathers and brightsky is no place for me."

"But that is not my say. Come, I will be taking you to gRaVl."

She moves to the stone gate, Danyel slithering next to her. SaNd merely touches the formidable looking stone and you see the gate swing open.

She leads you down a corridor you can tell is newly made; the smooth stone showing no passage of time. Then she continues further and further down, into the original tunnels you remember.

She passes a few Earthkin, waving them off with her hand and back to their business with a stern Terran word. Finally she brings you once more into the main Earthkin home cavern. All is as you remember it.

The Earthkin come out of their caves, intrigued to see you again. You see gRaVl step out of his own hut, still wearing his antimagic necklace given to him by Master Vandel.

He starts forward, interested as he recognizes Landru and you. But then he stops, his head dropping to a guarded position.

"Friend Landru! You bring a Hound to us?!"

"I smell Efreeti blood! That blood of the Slavers from the Old Stories!"

"This is to be explained, this insult to us!"
he challenges loudly.

The Earthkin guards, knowing Landru to be a trusted friend, do not raise their weapons. Yet they seem uncertain in these recent days as to whom exactly, if anyone, can still be trusted.

Landru looks to you, Bedlor and Faerun.

"Umm...yes."

"I have been meaning to ask about that. idn't seem too pressing at the time...but I guess I should have brushed up on my racial/planar histories."

"Anyone?"

"It be a new time, gRaVl. Time fer lettin' go o' old 'ates an' forgin' new friendships. We be aimin' to save the world but if'n its to be done it must be the whole o' the world standin'. It be the only way.

It be part o' why we be 'ere. We be invitin' ye an' yer kin to go wit' us. Ye are to be a big part o' our work in buildin' this new place o' Unity. A sign fer others to be seein' the showin' o' welcome.

I be askin' ye fer 'elp, an' in exchange a place in this new world. Where we all be looked on as e'ery one else be looked on."

I turn into an angel and walk up within inches of Montford, "I wanted some advice on what exactly I could do now that I've discovered my true self."

{really? wow.}

Moira tries to catch you, "No, Liv! Don't..."

Montford throws himself backward from you in absolute shock as Elder Sister Daphne screams.

"An Angel! One of the traitors to Illumian!" Montford cries out as he raises his hands.

"Back to Laukordia, black seraph!!"

Elder Sister Daphne calls out, "Priests! An Angel is among us!! Help!!"

Even as Moira tries to calm her superiors to no avail, you hear the sound of screams from the panicked citizens in the chapel and the sound of footsteps running your way.

{hmm...I suddenly wonder if I need a combat grid.  Undecided}

gRaVl tilts his conical head at you in confusion. He pauses for a minutes but, seeing he has Aphra outnumbered and she is making no move to defend herself, settles down his guards.

"Not understanding."

"You want us to move somewhere? We saved air-city. Do fleshlings want us gone now?"

"I am no traitor. I come to you for help and advice. I'm on your side. Stop judging me and every other person that's different."

"No, mate, not at all. It be the reverse o' that.

We be settin' up a city 'ere in the world. A city o' Unity, where e'ery race in the land can be comin' an' livin' as equals. We not only be gatherin' a force to be stoppin' the comin' doom but to be settin' the example fer the rest o' the world. Showin' that peace between e'ery race be not only possible but the best way to be livin'.

Ye an' yer kin be a big part o' that plan. Ye be different from the fleshlin's. They be scared o' what be different, an' slow to be learnin' sometimes. If'n they can be seein' 'ow ye be 'elpin' an' yer peaceful ways, it be showin' 'ow we can all be livin' in peace."

"Dark Tomorrow accidentally summoned a half Efreeti half Hound from Laukordia when they were assaulting us, and she assaulted them back apparently. Her name is Aphra, and I plan to bring her back to Laukordia when I go to free Jondelyn."

What does Faerun know of the Hound and Efreeti.

"Everybody makes mistakes. Gods know I've made some doozies. Ackshully, it's probly true to say that people have died from my mistakes too... you make a mistake when those Dark Tomorrow wizards are around and someone's life is at risk and if you're lucky it's your own."

"So no, I'm not going to judge someone who's made mistakes."

Amber smiles, truly grateful to be in the company of someone she does not feel is judging her.

"I'm glad to hear that. Everything was bad enough when I had Suzy out of wedlock. Then, when she...people blamed me."

"I blamed Me. I haven't felt I belonged anywhere since."

"It's so hard to live with...I guess you have to though, huh?"

"I'm sorry, listen to me rambling. Here you go, sir."

She hands you a brilliantly designed arrangement of morning glories. Instead of a gathered bunch or even an attractive bouquet, they have been made into a hairpiece. Fixed to a silver hair clip, they form a short trailing design from a headband made of the same flowers.

"It will be short lived but I hope the memory and thought behind it lasts a long time," Amber says.

Rachel's eyes widen with delight as you take the clip from Amber.

"Och! ... Aye. T'at it will," she marvels.

"I 'ate to be promisin' thin's we not be knowin' true, mate, or bribin' wit' a good meal."

"If'n ye to be comin' wit' us I want it to be fer the greater good. An' fer ye an' yer people to be knowin' the all o' it at the front."

gRaVl tries to smile but only ends up making an odd unintentional clicking sound with his tongue.

"Unity is it? I like the sound of hearing that."

"The Earthkin have lived in Ashearea very long. No way to be going back home; all sealed with locks and hunted by the Hound, it is."

"We were happy beneath the Alabaster Tower but this place here, though some time spent, does not feel like home. We are alone, with few friends."

"But now we are seeing we do have friends, yes? Friends of flesh and many races. No surprise though that the smaller folk are the wiser ones; gnome and dwarf. Man stands too high and air makes them think poorly."

"Same true for Hound but if you say she is no harm then fine. Hard to believe Hound could ever be friend to Earthkin though."

"Much cruelty has been put on us in the before-times. If we had not been trapped here we would be slaves like our Mephit kin in Laukordia, yes."

SaNd's ears perk up at your words, Faerun.

"Nebulite, you say?"

She translates for gRaVl at his request. He stares at you, his eyes even wider than normal.

"You know where nebulite is? That is rarest of all metals. Tied to Weaving and full of natural power, it is."

Aphra reflexively sniffs at the mention of the ore's rarity. Apparently she does not believe that.

"Last time we were here amongst you, it was mentioned, and interest was shown in the topic and the guiding of some of your people to it."

SaNd nods (and translates).

"Yes, I remember. The one called T'Ning and I spoke of it. He said he could not promise but would try to bring nebulite to Earthkin."

gRaVl muses.

"Nebulite is more than metal. It is magic that is greater than planes."
