Fringe: Recent Events

I love Fringe. I really do. I get very excited whenever a new episode appears in my Hulu queue. And the recent episodes--the ones switching back and forth between universes--seem to have really ramped up the tension.
However, one of the recent twists [SPOILER] is the resurrection of William Bell within the body of Olivia Dunham. This is one of those things that sounds good on paper, and might be fine, if Anna Torv wasn't trying to sound like Leonard Nimoy.
I mean, I don't know what accent she's trying for, but she sounds horrible--like she's doing a very bad impression of her grandfather
Anyone else feel this way?

I can see why they did it by the end of the episode with her "coming back" and there being "a problem" (like we didn't see Soul Magnets being problematic) with the voice changing back and forth for a moment. That sort of made it work.
But, yeah, its kind of annoying.

Wish to watch it. Is it as good as the X-Files when that was good?

It's better Slappy, because unlike X-Files they answer questions! Also I feel exactly the same way, I like the idea of Bell coming back but I dislike making Torv impersonate Nimoy's voice. I think it'd be better if they just had Olvia's voice with Bell's personality and mannerisms.

Big, big fan of "Fringe".
Torv is forcing an American accent already (her and John Noble, Walter are Australian), and I think the Nimoy impersonation is a shade too far for her. I was kind of surprised they didn't run her voice through a synthesiser to get a more accurate likeness, given that a massive percentage of voices are ADRed anyway.
Either way, I can let it slide. The story they're telling is still gripping enough to overlook a few missteps.

It is a great story, but her dialogue throws me out of it every time.
Yeah. The first time I heard John Noble speak in an interview it really threw me. I thought he might be faking that German accent, but I didn't expect him to be
Australian
and faking a German accent.

Just saw on IGN that it's been (thankfully) renewed for a fourth 22-episode season.
Awesome.

After the last episode, I want to live in the Alternate Universe.
They have 12 seasons of "The West Wing".

Hey, came across a reference to the Walter Fernald State School in researching a back and forth over in the General Discussion forum.
The state school is in Waltham, Mass and is infamous for its experiments on children. Anyone know if this is what Walter Bishop in Fringe is based on? Fringe is based in Boston, isn't it?

Holy crap!!!
Now how are they going to connect two universes, the DRJ stuff, AND this new future? I know its going to be awesome when they do, but the ride is going to be sweet!! Best show on network tv.
