My LCS had their yearly back room sale.  They had a special, all bagged and boarded comics were 5 dollars a pound, and I have answered the age old question.  How much does all of Preacher and Sandman weigh.  15 pounds in single issues with the bags / boards.  I know this is basically some useless information, but I found it amusing enough to share.  Also seeing as I never had any comics from the late 90's, the page feels like a mix of a full glossy page (99% of the stuff I buy today) and paper from the 50's and 60's comics, is this normal?

Also, got about 30 RPG books for 28 dollars......... go me Smiley

Go you, indeed!  Sounds like a decent haul!

And I think I know what you mean by the page thing, but I don't remember if it is "normal".  Then again, I barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning, so......

Is Alisha could sandwich with a couple of Asian girls, I suspect she would.

Comic Store West         (which is a weird name kuz it is in the east end of york city)
2111 Industrial Highway
York, PA 17402-2223

Basically south central PA.  Also the sale goes on through sunday and they close at 9 on Saterday (today when Im posting), and closes at 5 on sunday.  The pound of comics thing is for ALL issues in their back issue bins, so have at it.

Alright, I went out to dinner with some friends of the family in the general area of said comic book store, and well..........  I bought the entire run of Y the last man and a boat load of random comics too.  I think if I would of bought all these in single issues it would easily of been about 1000 dollars, so I saved a LOT of money, yay me.

Are you sure you saved money? Maybe you just didn't spend as much money as you might have on them.

Good thing summer is coming. You'll need the extra hours of daylight to read all those comics after they turn off your electric because now you can't pay the bill.   Cheesy

Start with burning the Rob Liefeld comics. Even if you never use the light to read the other books, it's a good idea.

I can say with all honesty that I have never bought any of his stuff, and hopefully I never will.

I wish to confess.  I spent 2 years trying to get Youngblood when it first came out.  I was young and stupid,  I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING!!
After two years of months between issues with no resolution, I quit.

I did think Badrock was Blok done well though.  Then again, it is easy to do Blok better.  Sorry Rob can't even give you credit there.

Several people were making fun of his work at C2E2, and I felt out of the loop because I didn't recognize the name. Yet maybe that's not a bad thing?

You are better off. Embrace your ignorance, for I envy thee.
