Hey comic lovers, it's The Flash

I am an illustrator from the beautiful city of Detroit (HA).  I love the supers and I have been drawing them for as long as I can remember.  I have never worked on an actual comic book and would like to.  So I came up with a portfolio for this stuff and was hoping for some feedback. 

We'll start with the fastest man alive...

Great!  Thanks for the feedback.  Lets get those views over a hundred shall we? 

So I have heard from some sources that the Justice League movie that is currently being made is starring a one Lonnie Rasheed Lynn Jr.

For all those that don't know the master wordsmith's rappin' name is Common.  And he has been selected to play the Green Lantern.  I think it's a stellar choice for casting, so I painted a version of my favorite hip hop artist as the man with the ring before any of the movie photos leaked.  I sent it to Common and was immediately replied to by an intern... haha.  So I stepped around the hired help at Capital Records and gave it to his management, ... never really got a response.  I hope he sees it someday.  Ah well, it makes for a good story anyway.


   

To answer Stacy, I primarily use Photoshop and Corel Painter.  I have been using a waicom tablet for about 5 years now.

For Stephen I would love to speak with you about doing work for the site.  I think it would be a great idea. 

I haven't done much exploring for comic art blogs and was wondering if anyone else knows of forums I could possibly enter my work in...

Well, another day another wicked illustration right?  Hows about some Nightcrawler? 



This flippin' drawing was completed in one sitting, about 3 or 4 hours late at night. 

I liked it so much I started concepts for my first comic with Nightcrawler as the lead character.  I only have 2 pages done thus far, but I paint everything, so it takes a tick, even for the fastest man alive.

But first...

I continue to be amazed. Each image you powst upreminds me of the classic Marvel Marsterpiece stuff. Really great work. That Green Lantern has to be my favorite so far, the colors just pop so well!

In regards to the Mr. Fantastic, I think it it is a good one, has a Kirby/Silver Age feel to it. Reminds me of Steve Rude's work somewhat. Something about Mr. Fantastic's face...
