In games like this it is not the whole sex concept that bothers me, it is my DMs usual way of handling. Making the person very uncomfortable and/or imposing penalties. Last time he pulled a "random" STD chart off a blank sheet of paper. >.>
Yeah, when you sit down with a bunch of people to play an RPG chances are they share a lot of the same views on things. They probably like fantasy (or whatever genre the game is) are comfortable with a pg13+ level of violence, etc. But sex is completely random. For some it's no big deal, for others it's a mortifying topic, for others still it's so incredibly hilarious that they can't focus.
Haha it is not that the group is not okay with it. It seems that when it comes up the DM goes out of his way to SEVERELY punish the character for taking part in something that is normal.
that's what I said. I wasn't saying a group will completely fall on one camp or the other (if they did there wouldn't be any problems). Your DM is probably not comfortable with it.
Haha sorry about that I am still half awake. He just likes to mess with our characters and has openly stated he runs the game as DM vs PCs. I have found a new DM so hopefully things will change.
