You have to be motivated to take care of yourself, for certain. If you can find a way to do that by having fun, all the better.

I agree that balance is key to everything in life. Understanding your body and its needs then matching your exercise/nutrition to that as you move toward your goal is a good way to succeed.

I recommend this over crack but, hey.

I haven't begun the P90X yet but I have bought some supplements. I got some multi-vitamins, calcium/magnesium, and fish oil (for the ol' ticker).

I figured I could use the additional nutrients. I am thinking of starting P90X soon though.

Liquid fish oil? I've heard that in the pill-processing they heat up the oil and it becomes about as saturated a fat as there is.

Stuff taste like a vomitey diaper though Smiley

Trans-saturated fats are bad for you but some fats are necessary.

I know.

Its confusing as shit, though.

I'll just stick to my Pop-Tart sandwiches and pizza burritos.

Yeah, I was sitting her having some deep-fried cotton candy and thinking to myself, "I'm going to do a push up later."

So far, so good.

Deep Fried Cotton Candy?
Is it breaded or just dropped into the oil?

You must be strong and limit yourself to less than 10 a day.   Cheesy

And not long after I posted that I had two McRibs.  But I didn't eat anything but a Lipton Chicken Noodle Cup-A-Soup and some crackers yesterday (ulcers were acting up) and I'm supposed to be gaining some weight, so I think it works out.

I hate being told I'm underweight, but with my naturally super-high metabolism (seriously, it's like near Flash levels) and the meds I'm on making me not hungry, it's really, really hard for me to gain.

god, tell me about it. I feel like I'm stuffing myself with food right now, trying to gain enough calories to fuel muscle growth.

I'll be the really muscular guy in the corner, doubled over with stomach cramps while I flex my biceps.

That's about how I felt when my friend moved in and decided she was going to try to help me gain weight.   Like many, she assumed I either didn't eat or wasn't eating enough.  But that isn't the case, as I DO eat and I eat plenty.  She was rather surprised to see that it wasn't that I didn't eat (although I do occasionally forget to eat or avoid eating when my meds or my stomach troubles make me feel crappy), I just have a high metabolism.

On the plus side, I'm eating healthier than I had before.  I used to eat mostly microwaved and fried easy foods, stuff that wasn't all that healthy.  And she loves to cook, so she makes these amazing things that taste like they should be bad for you but aren't.
