I think this is one of the places where I've seen people refer to Saturn Girl's 1970s costume as a bikini. Obviously a bikini is two pieces and just as obviously this suit is one piece. This was a MONOkini. Come on, people, am I the only one who's ever heard of a monokini? There's one on Macy's website RIGHT NOW thaat's practically identical with Saturn Girl's and it's described as a monokini. Everyone go look.

Oh, and also I keep seeing people say it's 'pleather'. Was it ever described in any comic as vinyl? Absent that for all anyone knows it's just spandex.

Welcome to the boards Sterling!

I remember that costume, mainly in the Superboy and the Legion of Super Heroes series from the early seventies. Was that Mike Grell who designed it?

Maybe our resident Legion expert will know.
