Wesley Dodds as the Sandman. Sandman Mystery Theatre is still the hands down greatest book that vertigo ever published, and it is sorely missed.

Why Black Lightning? I must know.

Get used to disappointment.

While I will not place Wesley dodds up at the top of my list, I will put Sandman Mystery Theater at the top of my all time favorite series.
The pulpy noir feel and the depowering of the heros depicted gave it more of a real world feel.
While not the biggest fan of the artistic direction, I have to admit that it worked fairly well for the dreamy feel of the book.

Bruce Wayne..My only choice. He has this aura..one could trust this character. Though he is cryptic and self-absorbed, it doesnt fail him.

My favorite characters are all shelved... Wally West as The Flash, Kate Spencer as Manhunter, Vic Sage as The Question, Cassandra Cain as Batgirl, Lord Majestros as Majestic, The Great Ten.... not to mention changed characters like Bart Allen as Impulse or Tim Drake as Robin.

Of those still in on-goings, I guess Clark Kent as Superman and Cameron Chase.

Wally's still the favorite "ever".

Maybe I go more for jokey characters or oddballs or something, but I've always loved Plastic Man.  I was always drawn to the character from a young age, but I saw that there can be a lot of depth to the character whenever they feel like dragging it out of him, if they can get around Woozy Winks that is.
I also like Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern as I loved the idea of a power ring, something you can be given and if you had enough willpower inside you that you could create anything you could imagine, and Kyle because he was my first introduction to the character of GL.
Also as a kid and seeing Jay Garrick as the Flash in some comic shop, I was always curious as to how he could run so fast and yet keep that metal hubcap on his head.

I like Plas, and Kyle.
For me, he is the Green Lantern that really used the ring in an exciting visual style.  Being an artist he did more than the green fist or blast.  When he flew, he would be in a cool jet with hot stewardesses attending his needs.  Unfortunately this didn't help him with keeping his girlfriend out of the Refridgerator, but he was new then and there is a learning curve to being a Green Lantern. (Especially when you are the only one left.)
His reign appealed to me because we were around the same age and point in our life, I was hanging out in NYC and could imagine going to Radu's in the village.

I do really like the addition of the unique characteristics of each Lantern's rings based on personality traits and their backgrounds.  I like that Kyle will occasionally erase some things and re-construct them like an artist would on paper, and John Stewart making large machine-like constructs to analyze evidence or make a big vise to hold someone still.  I like the addition of those little things like Kilowog's ring is the only one that makes an audible sound and that Guy's is frequently sparking with energy because he's always ready for a fight.  Just little things to add it that give each character a little something to differentiate themselves from the others, I mean more than just a bowl haircut and sweet vest that is.

Ted Kord.
Brave, humorous, witty and most importantly human. The Booster Gold comics where they meet in the past ahave some really great emotional moments and fantastic humor. Ted may not have died on his feet but he was a fantastic point of view character in a universe filled with invulnerable superjerks and Batman, the guy who is a human as a bulletproof growly voiced robot.
Also, teds costume was great. Uhhhh, yeah. Ted Kord.
